Sarah Palin Reveals COVID Diagnosis and 'Bizarre' Symptoms, Urges Others to Continue Wearing Masks

Sarah Palin has tested positive for COVID-19, and she's urging others to continue taking the pandemic seriously.

The former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee-turned-TV personality confirms in a statement to PEOPLE that she contracted the coronavirus as did some of her family members, including 12-year-old son Trig. Of her diagnosis, Palin explains that it began when "one of my daughters awoke to having lost her sense of taste and smell [and] immediately had a positive COVID test, then was quarantined in isolation.

"I then observed symptoms in my son Trig, who curiously is the most enthusiastic mask-wearer, and after our numerous negative tests over the year, he tested positive," Palin says. "Children with special needs are vulnerable to COVID ramifications [Trig was born with Down syndrome], so with a high fever he was prescribed azithromycin, which really seemed to help, and I increased amounts of vitamins I put in his puréed food."

Palin says she and her son "buckled down in isolated quarantine" and she "still tested negative." However, "symptoms started overnight with a slight fever and sore muscles."

She adds that she had some of the "bizarre" symptoms characteristic of the virus, like a loss of taste and smell, leading her to assume it was "unmistakable COVID caught me."

Palin tells PEOPLE that COVID-19 can "really knock you down," encouraging everyone to remain vigilant about public health amid the ongoing pandemic.

Palin, who announced in January that her mother, Sally, had died, says that dad Chuck Heath "just got" his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"I'm more concerned about him and his peers, and this beautiful older generation's health and quality of life should be a national focus and priority," she says.

The article also says her son has downs syndrome, so perhaps he has not been so careful with washing hands, maintaining social distance, and perhaps even removing mask when she was not watching him.

If anyone has a way to contact her be sure to tell her to take plenty of zinc, as a deficiency is what causes loss of taste and smell, Vitamin D and C, and HCQ, Ivermectin or Quercetin if she can find it.

I have traveled around the VA, MD, DC metropolitan areas throughout the pandemic. I have seen that people in DC are particularly careful about mask wearing, including young adults and black people. DC has had several visits from out of town demonstrators most of whom did not wear masks. During one march down Pennsylvania Ave. it seemed that about 5% of the marchers wore masks. Most of the observers on the sidewalks did wear masks. DC, of course, is a built up urban area, whereas MD and VA have plenty of people living in small towns and rural areas. Before Christmas I started to look at worldometers Covid-19, US. I looked at the deaths per million column and counted 16 states that had a higher death/M count than DC. Over the months the number has gradually crept up, so for the past few weeks there have been 27 states with more deaths/M than urban DC.

So far no flu epidemic, maybe cleaning hands, wearing masks and staying distant works for that too. I will certainly try that next year as I am sure many others will also.

Sea levels have not risen. Perhaps more snow has fallen, certainly I think the drought is over in the western states. With all the people not driving, the air is certainly clearer, and temps may be down a fraction. I don’t know if this is affecting Greenland or Antarctica, but I notice it here. Maybe climate change is somewhat real.

One third the world population is zinc deficient, 30-60% of the US population is Vitamin D deficient, and one scientific study I read said over 80% of their black Covid patients were Vitamin D insufficient. Of course Big Pharma does not want us to be aware of that or we might not need there high priced drugs, like $3000 a treatment course for Gilead Sciences Remdesivir, compared with Dr. Zelenko’s zinc, HCQ, Azithromycin treatment for $20. I’ll bet that Fauci, working on behalf of Gilead Sciences, is the reason that President Trump never really talked about zinc when he got Dr. Z’s letter. Now that there is already the Truvada class action against GS, I wonder when someone is going to sue them for possibly shutting down the chance to use HCQ and ZINC to heal early Covid, and save many thousands of lives.

What some of our newer FReepers don’t know is how useful the various ping lists can be. Thanks to the generous time and effort of some FReepers, we can get pings on our favorite topics on a regular basis. For a long time I have enjoyed Sunken Civ’s GGG and Catastrophism ping notices. More recently I have added cll’s Puerto Rico ping list since my son and his family live there, and most recently Alas Babylon!’s Sunday Morning Talk Shows thread/ping. For them and all the others who are maintaining the quality of information at FR, a hearty thank you.

“Glad to see 49% of my fellow Republicans are wise!”

The other 51% of the men would wear a floral pattern dress if they were told that doing so prevented cv19.

Great post.

Bannon’s War Room is offering vit D3 and zinc free of charge to anyone who asks. Just pay shipping. Brilliant! But, it is a good idea to get blood levels of vit D tested annually. Then one can get sunshine (best) and/or vit D capsules to optimize D levels.

An Idaho physician recently stated that he believes that Ivermectin could have saved 375,000 lives. Damn. Your government/bureaucrats at work.

“Already seeing people turn on President Trump for exactly the reasons you’ve given.”

What a load of crap.

You really are manipulative and deceitful, aren’t you?

President Trump was great for MAGA, but the scamdemic, the scamdemic deaths and the vax propaganda is all on you, Gates, Pharma and your buddy Fauci.

If everyone followed the Brownstein antiviral protocol we’d be far better off as well. There are a lot of options.

You are talking about the zinc listed on the vitamin tablet bottles. Dr. Zelenko for Covid illness says something like 220 mg zinc sulfate a day for 5 to 7 days, or about 50 mg. of ELEMENTAL zinc. I have not found zinc sulfate, but have zinc picolinate, chelated zinc, and another one that I am too lazy to go downstairs to look at. So I am also taking about 30 to 50 mg/day of some zinc compounds (not elemental zinc) but if I get sick or loose my sense of taste and smell will immediately start taking about 5 times my normal daily dose. I will also do this next flu season or if I have to be around people with colds or catch one myself. I have been eating more onion and garlic.

A while ago I was told to look at recipes for making substitute quinine as HCQ is developed chemically from quinine. Grapefruit and other citrus fruits like lemon and lime were considered useful for this purpose. I am supposing that these would possibly work as an ionophore for zinc in the body and therefore act to prevent or immediately strike down Covid and other virus illnesses. I have taken to making vegetable soups with some chicken or crumbled hamburger, then making a slice of lemon, squeezing the juice into the soup and then cutting up the rind and remaining pulp into small pieces and cooking it in the soup. Quercetin which has been recommended by Dr. Zelenko and others as available in stores and not requiring a doctors prescription is a member of the C complex family, which of course includes citrus fruits. I try to find organic citrus, but since I am not eating a lot, make due without if there is none.

I also found this interesting link about Confederate efforts during the Civil War to find substitutes for Quinine as it was expensive and hard to get through blockades.

FreeRepublic is a shell of what it once was.

There was a purge here about nine years ago. Some were forced to leave, while others left in disgust. I was one of those who left in disgust. This is the first time I have posted here in almost ten years. Free Republic lost a lot of good people then. It is also when the forum lost it’s way, for many of us.

This may be Donald Trump’s forum now, but I doubt he even knew about FR 20 years ago when a number who are still here first joined. I remember 5 years ago how bitter and angry the exchanges were among the Jeb, Ted, Donald supporters. It was especially strong for Cruz and Trump supporters and seemed fairly evenly divided to me at that time. I wonder how much longer the former President will continue to be the most important figure in the minds of most people at FR? Time will tell.

My brother may have had mild Covid in December and now seems to have symptoms of long-Covid. I did further research and found that Ivermectin may be helpful for long-Covid as well as the primary infection. Below is a two page prophylactic and treatment protocol from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) which is very handy to copy and have ready to take to your doctor to get Ivermectin for insurance or for life saving treatment if you get Covid. EVMS has other much longer pages of information you can Google.

You can save yourself a lot of trouble trying to make quinine as an Ionophore by using QUERCETIN as an ionophore for zinc besides it also has many other health benefits what quinine does not have and it is readiLy available from Amazon. And while we are at it, have a HAPPY EASTER!
