President Joe Biden called Tuesday for Congress to move immediately to “ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.” It’s a start, though he’ll have to reach across party lines for real this time, since some Democrats are as anti-gun-control as the bulk of today’s GOP.
The New York Post does not see this as a conservative or liberal issue — it’s an issue of life and death. Curbing guns is what led to New York City’s three-decade reduction in murders. And, sadly, it’s the dismissal of that progress that has led to a rise in shootings here. Outside the city, the toll of semi-automatic weapons is a sad litany of cities and schools: Newtown, Parkland, Aurora, Las Vegas. It’s a national shame.
We called on President Donald Trump to act, and we’ll happily support Biden in a fight for the needed changes. Polls show most Americans want this. It’s the political establishment that is frozen.

when Biden did that, hundreds of Americans were murdered without knowing it yet. Their date with death is 6 months, 3 years, or 8 years away. One day whole they are shopping, driving down the street, or otherwise enjoying life. Some migrant Biden let in this spring will murder, rape, or kill them in a drunk driving wreck.

Even is liberal CT, polls showed no massive support for our unconstitutional ban on scary looking guns when thy rammed that thru several years ago. Even today, when the left leaning local Fox affiliate posted a article on the Xiden speech 99% of the comments were opposed.

The Post Editorial board shows it’s ignorance. Semi-automatic weapons are not weapons of war. They are common firearms carried by policemen and average citizens every minute of every day.
How about restrict gun sales to members of the Islamic Cult, members of communist parties, members of socialist parties, and anyone who has now or in the past posted or participated in undeniably anti-American efforts or aided our nation’s enemies.
