Editor’s Note: In the wake of the January 6 Capitol riot, the Biden administration ordered the U.S. Navy to stand down its global operations and subject all members to what it characterizes as training to recognize and combat”extremism.” The piece below was written by an active duty military member who has about 20 years of service. This member has been deployed overseas in the war on terrorism multiple times. The piece describes the Navy’s “extremism stand-down,” what it includes, and what it leaves out. Ted Mahan is not the member’s real name.
Recently, my Navy unit held an “extremism stand-down” training that was required of all Department of Defense personnel, as mandated by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin here. According to Vice Admiral John B. Nowell, Jr, the purpose of the training was “to ensure service members and civilian personnel clearly understand the damaging effects of extremism and begin developing more effective, sustainable ways to eliminate the corrosive impacts extremist activity can have on our Force.”

Let’s look at what’s going on in law enforcement across the country today.
Beat cops in Leftist run cities know their elected officials and DAs don’t have their backs. People are leaving in droves, and not signing up, so big city forces are way understaffed. Atlanta at the 20-25% level.
So violent crime is skyrocketing. It gets blamed on hardships due to Covid, but that’s not it. It’s not pretty.
This gets going in the military, we’re done if we have to fight a real war.
Maybe our new strategy is to kill the enemy with laughter. All of our former allies need to form their own alliances against China because we will not only be on the other side, but actively aiding the CCP in being the new world power.

Well, since the Navy will have to deal with it first, they are being prepared for acceptance of “World CCP Hegemony”. Biden misheard it, and thought they were saying “World Harmony.” I mean, who wouldn’t want that?
Let’s hope our senior NCOs instruct the younger troops about what is real, what is traditional and what is bullshit. (Sort of what NCOs have done for a thousand years, actually.)
This article by a Navy chief suggests that he “gets it” and so do his peers. If they can just pass that knowledge along to the youngsters, we should be fine. The brass hats are the Obama bum-kissers, not the rank and file.
