Climate change is what did it....Climate change is the problem for everything.
Many years ago I had lunch with a futurist who predicted this. That there would no longer be nation state but instead corporations. We would connect our allegiance to corporate enterprises, that they would swallow the nations.
Rule #3: “Common sense gun law”is followed by an end around the 2nd amendment
Many of the posters you refer to (defending that derps) are not necessarily stupid. They are playing on the other team.
Agree.
Itβs like theyβre a team of trolls, playing for other team.
Lightening fast info, always defending other side and attempting to ridicule any speculations or suppositions.

I feel you about the dim conservatives. Everytime someone complains ab out how slow the Great Awakening is I ask them if they’ve ever been to Wal Mart. “Of course”, they say. THOSE are the people you have to wake up.
I heard that from Watts Wacker about 25 years ago.
Sheβs a PA as well ... Meaning, we have just gotten so dumb and blind to this. Fear porn, panic porn, whatever you want to call it.

My doctor is in his mid-30’s and he now wears full hazmat gear when he sees patients. He has a high protection face mask with the one-way breathing valve and wears a completely-around-the-head shield over that. His gloves cover his plastic onesie that rustles when he walks and he has heavy plastic booties that are taped over his plastic pantlegs. I understand that they see people all day who are sick with goodness knows what and he wants to protect his ability to make a living, but that was a surprise.
When he came into the examination room, my eyes got quite wide. He was very happy to be wearing all that gear because I was sitting there without a mask and he proceeded to lecture me about “The CDC says ... hrtmmphd ... trmstmmmp ... safety ... muffled ... muffled ... muffled ... mask”.
I stared at him like I was listening intently and started nodding, but I had tuned him out as soon as I heard “CDC”. It took all my focus to apply just the right amount of tooth pressure on my tongue to prevent me from laughing at the rustling sound he made as he moved around the room. I thought about asking if I could take a photo, but we have a shortage of doctors in my town. I just wanted my first in a series of spring allergy shots and didn’t want to be fired as a patient at this particular time.
I do not know who Watts Wacker is
This was at a lunch in Boston with fellow from MIT. Circa 1986 or so.
He is trying not to spread from one vulnerable patient to another. Probably not to protect himself
Full change in between patients.
:)
The minute I saw the original clip of BiteMe tripping on the steps, I remembered the clip of Trump’s golf ball supposedly hitting Hillary on the back, and I wondered when someone would do the same thing to the Biden clip.
Too bad the censors are so hard at work.
“He is trying not to spread from one vulnerable patient to another..”

Are you saying that he changes that get-up between EVERY patient? (Kind of expensive!!!)
My doctor only wears a mask and requires anybody in the office, employee or patient, to wear one too. She schedules patients where nobody is waiting in the waiting room. You can bring anybody with you. If you do the person waits in the hall.
I can understand this because so many doctor’s see mostly elderly patients.
When I go out in public I wear the mask because I have asthma but it’s not really just about me. My husband is 82 and scared out of his mind that I might get it. I worry about bringing it home to him. Since I’m his caretaker I can’t afford to get sick. I’m not talking about dying. I’m talking about being down in the bed for a week or in the hospital. He wouldn’t be able to take care of my dogs or me. There are things that I do that he could never do. He can’t remember if he ate lunch or got the mail. No way he could remember the other things that would need to be done. I do everything I can do to stay well. It’s not about fear for myself. If I didn’t have him to take care of or my animals I wouldn’t care.
I was already laughing so hard at the escalator GIF that I was coughing, but your follow-up truly broke me. Sorry, blu.
I was impressed at how determined he was to hang on to the right rail. His arm was twisted in a quite unnatural way by the time he finally let go.
I know it’s mean to laugh that heartily at someone else’s misfortune so I’m putting myself in timeout.
