New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio suggested that Governor Andrew Cuomo may ultimately answer widespread calls to resign, but only "right before" a state-led impeachment proceeding is complete. On Sunday the mayor discussed what could lie ahead for the governor, a fellow Democrat, amid mounting sexual misconduct allegations and lingering public backlash over his role in New York's nursing home COVID crisis.
"I think he'll try to hold out," de Blasio told CBS News' Margaret Brennan during on Face the Nation, responding to an inquiry about whether Cuomo will in fact step down from his position as governor.
"I think he is used to getting things his way," the mayor continued, calling Cuomo's term as governor almost "imperial" before weighing in on his future. As of Sunday, seven women have come forward with allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior against Cuomo. Most are former state employees.

Sounds like DeBlasio has designs on the Governor’s seat.
just like a bunch of R politicians stabbed the innocent President Trump in the back during his term and especially when he was seeking to True the Corrupted Vote
a bunch of D politicians are stabbing the (likely-guilty imho) in the back now
I trust most politicians no further than I can toss a hippopotamus over the back fence
90 percent of them lack any moral values or integrity whatsoever
9 months ago everyone was praising him and wanted him to run against Trump. The way the media is able to control the narrative is disgusting.
Let’s see how long New Yorkers want to be ruled by sociopaths.
Cuomo will probably hang on until the election in 2022, even if everyone in his administration resigns in protest.
Honor the fighting spirit of Bill Clinton! Never give up!
(even if a blue dress surfaces)
Politicians have always been deceitful, the real problems started for Trump when the media went 98% against him.
de Blasio chewing out Cuomo is akin to Bevis calling Butthead a dumbass. I think you are right and this is a deflection from his wife stealing the billion dollars.
understood
it is sad.
President Trump had 4 years to direct his administration to pursue good antitrust actions against the five huge globalist corporations that control so much of the media
just like he had 4 long years to root the Nazi scum out of the Snake Department and other anti=American enemies out of Defense and intelligence agencies
not easy but he had 4 years to work on it. My opinion is that he was just too nice, too trusting...or?
Does an impeached Governor risk pension benefits?
...when DeBlasio become the voice of conscience of the DemocRat party...
Trump’s three biggest problems (not necessarily in order)
1) He’s simply not a detail-oriented person.
2) He didn’t have a deep enough understanding of how government worked.
3) He is a poor judge of character, or put as you put it, too trusting.
He needed to inspect what he expected. But, that takes follow-up and it requires a minimal understanding of what to inspect to ensure things are working towards the goals you’ve established. Tough to root out anything if you don’t know where the vermin holes are. Trump didn’t.
He had too few people in his inner-circle that shared his own world view. If he had a solid WH Chief of Staff, as Reagan did in James Baker, all of Trump’s shortcomings likely would have been mitigated, mooted. But, he didn’t. He was saddled with absolutely dreadful Chiefs of Staff up until the last six or seven months.
Trump was/is a Big Idea Man and a showman. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, great leaders are often those things and it served him well in business. But, to tame the federal bureaucracy, it’s simply not enough.
A distinct possibility. Impeach the current corrup mob boss and elect a corrupt communist mob boss.
With a good board of advisors, Trump could have done anything. I think he simply left too many swamp creatures on the Federal payroll. Should have canned Comey the day after his election, etc.
de Blasio is hoping no one notices he’s a deep state sellout and needs to go sooner than Cuomo
understood.
and taming the WashDC bureeaucrappy (not meaning politically taming, just getting the worst enemy agents out would have been wonderful)
taming the bureaucrappy might just be too big a job for one person? or one person and a few trusted associates?
the problem, at least, has been growing for many years and there are hundreds of serious problem people embedded in agencies like Snake, Defense, and intelligence
at any event, it is a big big huge big job... praying that we are given another oppportunity to do some meaningful house cleaning
I’m guessing East German Angela Merkel’s Columbia graduated friend, Warren Wilhelm Jr. is aiming for New York state governor.
Can’t have his marxist wife, Wellesley graduated-billionaire-close HRC friend not continue to gain control over the proletariat.
That would just not fit the totalitarian ending to the story.
