Heard when I was 12 years old:
Q: How can you tell who is a gay at a St. Patrick’s Day parade?
A: Look at the guys wearing the collars and cassocks!

Four years ago in March, my beloved Tervuren, Ranger, had a stroke paralyzing the right half of his body. The cause was not immediately known so working closely with my vet, I tried to nurse him for a for a few days before deciding to put him to sleep. He was hardly eating and I had to hold his head over his bowl so he would drink water. On St. Patrick's Day morning in 2017, I got up early and he and I shared two of his favorite foods: hotdogs and ice cream, before I drove him to the vet to do what had to be done.
As such, I committed to eating hot dogs and ice cream every St. Paddy's day for the rest of my life.
So as delicious as some of that vegetable jello looks, I'm just going to have to politely say, "No."
