Amazon has adopted a rule against books that contain anything the company labels as “hate speech.” It appears there was no announcement of the new rule. It was only noticed by media after the online retailer recently banned a book that criticizes transgender ideology.
It’s not clear what Amazon means by “hate speech” or even if it used that label to drop that particular book. In general parlance, Americans hold widely diverging views on what constitutes hate speech, a 2017 Cato poll found. Some tech platforms describe it as speech that disparages people based on characteristics such as race, gender, and sexual proclivities. But insider evidence indicates the companies aren’t clear on where to draw the lines, perpetually redraw them, and at least in some instances ignore violations when politically convenient.

Pretty soon all books at Amazon will be banned for hate speech, except books on Marxism, Communism, socialism - all that crowd.

Right wingers never call for the banning of books because we support free speech and left wingers have no issue with that one.
I had been given to believe they liked her ideas; even took inspiration from them.
This has got to be another 4chan troll that people fell for

But that was irrelevant next to the fact that she was not German.
It was really screwy over there.
Ideas that were wrong, I mean factually wrong were accepted because a German came up with it and things that were factually right were rejected because a non-German came up with it.
And thank goodness for it or they would have possibly won.
If they hadn’t run off their Jewish physicists events might have unfolded entirely differently.
I am hanging on to every old book I have and am shopping thrift stores for them before we become Fahrenheit 451.
A major scifi author just came out and said buy print copies of conservative books, because they’re disappearing off Amazon in print and digital forms. And when you have an ebook, they can delete it off your device via DRM.
I am also doing that with CD’s and DVD’s.
I kept hearing that, oh, it can be streamed, there’s no need for DVDs anymore.
Until the censorship kicks it and the streaming services don’t carry them any more.
If I have a disc, I have a hard copy that I can watch or listen to any time I want.
Same with books.
Time to take down some liberal authors.
