I’m cracking up about the claims that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is racist.

Something about how since it is a single shot, and doesn’t need to be stored in a deep freeze, that its distribution is targeting those areas where it was hard to distribute the others. Funny how local news websites in my region haven’t posted CV-19 “cases” or deaths for well over a week. It used to be posted on their home pages every single day. Now, nothing except vaccine — vaccine — vaccine.

Even with “cases” (and deaths) dropping like a rock, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Tulsa and Shawnee have ONCE AGAIN extended their idiotic mask mandates for at least another month. Shawnee has extended theirs until JUNE 21. They do, however, generously concede that the new expiration date could be repealed, “if Coronavirus is determined to no longer be a threat”. Yeah, right.

On the other hand, I’ve observed more and more people going into places like grocery stores maskless. This is a very good sign, IMHO. Even some store workers are starting to dispense with the nonsense.

America appears to be a nation of fads. In 1999, it was Y2K-mania. In 2012, it was all about Mayan Calendar mania. The current maskie-waskie mania appears to be losing its hold on the citizenry. The emerging NEW fad is vaccine-mania. And everyone, but EVERYONE, is expected to participate if they want to be accepted by what passes for “society”.
