I needed to run some errands this afternoon. Home improvement store and grocery store. Decided to go to next town over so I could run the car a bit

Went in the home improvement store first. Most people were wearing masks but some weren’t (25-30%). So I promptly took mine off and put it in my purse! Well see what happens in grocery store.

Yesterday I stopped by our little post office....and I do mean little. One room about 20x30 feet. When I got out of the car and went to put on my stupid mask, the wind blew rather forcefully and honestly whipped the mask away as I was trying to put the second thing over my ear. It blew over the parking lot and headed for the field and there was no way I was going to catch up to it.

I went into the EMPTY post office and the lady, safely located behind a thick layer of plexiglass and sporting a mask that covered half her face looked like I just walked in with shredded up bandages all over my body, crying “unclean, unclean”. I told her that my mask blew away and I just wanted to mail this card. She whisked into the back and came out with a mask for me, which I had to carefully reach out and take from her, back up, put it on, then hand her my card to mail.

It was like something out of a movie. A very stupid movie.

The narrative of Genesis 14:1 associates these five cities and locates them in the Valley of Siddim, the Dead Sea. All these cities except Zoar were destroyed for the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah ( Genesis 19:24-29 ). Most recent scholarship has located the five cities in the shallow water of the southern end of the Dead Sea, south of the Lisan, the tongue of land along the southeastern shore that protrudes into the sea. However, no conclusive evidence has been found to support this proposal. Excavations along the eastern shore of the Dead Sea in recent years have convinced some scholars that the cities of the plain might be located in that region, especially at Bab-ed-Dhra and Numeira near the Lisan.

The particular phrase, “cities of the plain,” occurs only in Genesis 13:12 as the place Lot chose to dwell, and in Genesis 19:29 concerning the destruction. The Hebrew word translated “plain” more nearly means “round.” Thus it seems better to think of these cities as being ones “around” the Dead Sea or “around” the Jordan Valley. This interpretation may indicate simply that these cities were allies that lay in the Jordan Valley near the Dead Sea. As such, these cities may have been on a trade route and themselves involved in the trade of bitumin, salt, and sulphur.

Oh yes, gub. This virus is so very clever.....it knows the difference between someone reaching out in compliance, to receive their mask, and someone reaching out in rebellion, passing a card. The big risk was not only passing the card, but having to pass my filthy money over to her, which she accepted, no problem. I don’t know how my mask managed to cleanse that money, but I am just so relieved that it did. I would not want that girl’s death on my conscience.

Grocery store had their sign very prominent front and center right beside the door that masks must be worn in the store. Didn’t see anyone wandering around without a mask so I kept it on.

I went to a different state and I’m not sure if they’re under a mask mandate still (Democat governor) so I didn’t want to chance it.

We are under a mask mandate in the People’s Republic of Ontario.....my daughter (who is much braver and much more energetic and outspoken than her mother) just tells them she’s exempt, and carries on. Nobody bothers her except some Karens now and again who whisper while pointing their fingers at her.

I can’t be bothered. I used to be a “fighter”, but I’m just too tired. Plus I don’t want my scene posted all over social media. lol.

In my defense....I used to be a fighter. I fought long and hard with the public schools to stop with the whole language crap that was churning out illiterates, and go back to the phonetic teaching of reading....that’s another story lol.

We also have a small post office and no one says a word about no masks.
I work in the mall and still have to wear a mask all day at work. I'm so envious of some of our customers ,but also proud to many not wearing one!

I was such a criminal/rebel yesterday. We haven’t been going into our office in Burbank. I’ve been working from home, using the China virus as an excuse, but really I’d rather not drive from Huntington Beach to Burbank everyday. Burbank has a mask mandate enforced with fines.

At any rate, I stopped by a donut shop that had a big “No Mask, No Service” sign. I walked right up without a mask & ordered an apple fritter.

You know what the guy said? “You want a big one or a regular?

I told him to give me a big one, and then he told me it would be $2.25.

I felt like such a criminal as I ate that apple fritter.

I guess ‘want’ was a bad choice of words. One of my friends watches these YouTube videos where people bait the police into stopping them, then they videotape the encounter. They scream at the cops that they have the RIGHT to walk on this sidewalk/they’re not trespassing/they can fish where they’re fishing/etc. to get a reaction out of the police.

Some of them speak respectfully and others are dropping f bombs and basically saying ‘come at me bro’ to the cop. One the other day was a black woman with her son in the car who got pulled over for speeding. Someone’s recording in the back seat and she starts ranting that the cop pulled her over for no reason, everyone was speeding so why did he pull HER over, because the cop walked up to the car while touching his sidearm (uh...I think that’s NORMAL) he was threatening to shoot her son, etc. etc.

That was more the kind I was thinking of about ‘wanting’ to be on the internet.
