Rusty, just catching up on thread after not checking for several days.. (lots of unfortunate things to handle)..
got a real chuckle on the drawers - falling down on job..
I used to have that issue much too often with panty hose. Im dressed to tens professionally and in a meeting/group and know they are sneaking south on me.. You hope you can make it out the door and to the ladies room to pull them up or take them off.

Kroger was the exact company I was referring to with the ‘buy 5’. LOL I wasn’t sure if you had them there by that name since there are different regional names (Fred Meyer out west, King Soopers in the Rocky Mountain area, etc.).
I do the exact same thing with those specials-use it to stock up on things I get anyway. Or larger items like laundry detergent. Anyway, that’s my biggest annoyance with the online shopping. Oh, and that time where I ordered grapes and put 3, meaning I wanted a package about 3 pounds. Instead, I ended up with 3 bags that were about 2 pounds each! So be careful when ordering fresh produce; some places may have fixed it so they understand the quantity better.
When you do your order (at least with Kroger and Walmart) they have the price there and it keeps a running total. The Kroger will have the sale price there but it won’t adjust the price on sale items with a quantity buy until they pull your order. They will put a hold on your card for whatever they calculate the bill to be, but then when the pickup occurs they’ll charge what the amount is. My Walmart was out of stock on an item, so the hold included that item but my final charge will be less.
Another good thing is most of the online shopping only let you order items that are in stock when you’re making your order. I wanted some Swiffer products they were out of stock of in the package size I wanted, but showed a smaller package in stock. If you’re doing your order several days in advance (I think most let you order up to a week out) then it’s possible something will become out of stock by the time they pull your order.

My biggest issue with pants/shorts is I am apple shaped. I used to have a waist to hold up my pants.

What thickness are your chops? Do you use a meat thermometer to tell when done?
Its been many years since I ate meat.. but I was an adult and recall going to an outdoor BBQ. chops were on the grill. They were like leather with the rib sauce taste prominent.. surely no meat taste. I think I do pretty well with beef; poultry; seafood..and speciality ethnic cooking but I am far from mastering good pork skills (other than crockpot)

I’ve had/have lefty friends that I could socialize with occasionally, but I couldn’t live with anyone spewing all that trash without blowing up. You certainly have a lot of patience.

Jenny how troubling about your job situation. Believe me I know all about no income..The stages of grief kick in.. ya know, denial, anger, etc.
I dont recall if you are married and have the second income to fall back on. The added stress surely is not good for you. Your housing situation in Calif seems terrible also from what you described. Can you leave California? again if you are married and hubby has a job that doesn’t work from home, you are in a bind
NIKK.. think about you and your multitude of open windows. IF I ever am able to get my Mac Notebook operational, Id like to pick your brain on how you do that. I just have usually one window open in past and many tabs (many to me is 8 or lower) Do you ever get into WV? Near Ripley I have a friend who is into Cat rescue.. big time.. she also has a dedicated back porch for her and her “feline family” to enjoy. I think youd like her. She is on Facebook and I recall you mentioning you aren’t active with it much any longer. She’s also a strong Conservative and definately into 17. I signed up with Paler but then it was shut down & did reopen but I haven’t gone back.

I know I need to. I wanted a house that was a bit of a fixer upper so I could create another dream kitchen. We spent all yesterday fighting a water leak, and now we need to replace all the toilets. This is a bit more than a fixer-upper.
That’s how I knew exactly what you meant when you said things were falling off of you in the store. Except the pants, I always wear jeans and they usually get worn out in embarrassing places before they start falling off.
Yeah I get it. I was thinking I would definitely use the click and collect if I was still in California. I hated going in stores there, I always felt like the only white person. But here I love it, people are so friendly. And only in person could I hear grown men with tattoos ask if I need a buggy. Such a cute term.

Oh my gosh, so extravagant! At least she like to work so she could pay for them. I suppose she’s one of those people that give them to the thrift store after one wearing. Well people like me that shop there get some pretty good deals!
