That is a dismal picture, for sure, Jenny.
We just are not seeing that, right now anyway, in Texas.
Businesses are open....18 wheelers load the highways....even the petroleum ones. We have taken recent trips and cannot get over the number of 18 wheelers.
Friends have had a tough time booking air flights, for Spring Break trips.
Restaurants are packed.
A whole different world.
I pray you can find a secure situation, soon.

Airlines (Domestic) had reduced the number of planes and size (capacity). International very limited countries are allowing passengers to enter the country.
Hongkong is going down faster. Companies are folding very fast.

Friend of mine was allowed to hug her dad for the first time in 13 months this past week. He lives in a nursing home and she works in heath care. They’ve now both been vaccinated.
During that 13 months, her mother (his spouse) passed away. They couldn’t touch during the funeral.
