Let me cue you into the stupidity of most people. My house mate is an 84 year old woman who is an artist with little interest in politics. The first thing she does every morning is turn on CBS-TV. Then she shifts to NPR. What is her opinion of Trump?
“He’s evil. He’s a bully. He’s a dick. He’s corrupt. He spreads hate. He’s the worst president in our history. Even Biden is an improvement.”
When I point out that CBS and NPR are spreading lies and communist propaganda, what is her reaction?
“CBS is the most trusted name in news. Why would they lie? NPR is middle of the road and accurate. You need to stay off the Internet.”
When I point out that there is a proposal for a Reality Czar so the government can make sure that certain things are not published, what is her reaction?
“That’s a good idea. Hurtful things should not be published. The government has our best interests in mind. We elect the government, so it represents us. It would never lie to us.”
When I mention Antifa, what is her reaction?
"What is Antifa? Why would they want to hurt Trump supporters?"
This is what those of us outside FR have to deal with.
She is stuck in the 50s and part of the sixties. No one believed that the Government told lies back then. That’s why they were able to get away with telling lies about JFK etc.
Honestly, I have a relative who thinks (feels) exactly like this.
ABC’s 20/20 did an extensive episode years ago (maybe more than 20 years) about child trafficking in southeast Asia. The story was likely about Thailand or Malaysia. I think the correspondent was Tom Jarriel though I could be wrong about that. I remember part of the story revolved around the tracking of an American medical doctor who “vacationed” there each year and how they caught him in a brothel.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide a link. I’ve tried and cannot locate a link to that important story.

Wow. I can’t imagine living with anyone who thinks like this.
I am lucky in that the person I live with, “B,” and I are on agreement on most things. Where we disagree is what people like Dave on X22 have to say, and she has only soured on him since Biden was inaugurated. I get where she is coming from and don’t push his newer theories.
But I have to listen to her complain, understandably, about all her friends who, while they did vote for Trump, and are going to rush out an get the vax and think she is crazy for refusing. And half of them do not think election fraud occurred. They blame him and his tweets for how the election went.
“B” does think fraud occurred.
Listening to “B” tell me about her friends just above drives me crazy.
Living with your housemate as you describe her would put me in a mental hospital.
She must be impossible if you haven’t gotten through to her on some level. Based on your writings, I would think you would be good at debate.
Thank you for sharing. I think there are a lot more people like your housemate than many would like to think there are. That is why we must suffer for several weeks with Biden as (acting?) president—it is the only way to reduce the numbers of these people. Some will start to wake up.

Geeesh, you nailed it. There is no way they will see the big picture when you can’t even get them to flinch when they see antifa beating an 80 year old veteran for no reason. When we win our absolute and total freedom they too will benefit but will not be given any credit. We just have to live with them, even let them serve us our coffee:)
