Is time to be talking about a replacement for Rush?
Mark is the perfect replacement, IMO, for Rush. The others could fill in for awhile, but a rock solid patriot that we could trust everyday with conservative opinions on everything would be Mark Levin. Many names mentioned have a good idea now and then but some "flyer" will occasionally pop out that doesn't fit. Mark has been around the block enough to have a solid opinion on literally everything.
I mentioned Candice Owens because everything she has said so far is brilliant and down the line, but I haven't heard her for 10 years expounding on every subject. Admittedly, most of her solutions have been about race relations, but she also have views on other things that sound conservative enough. Shapiro is another young voice as sharp as a tack and quick witted.
I keep thinking back to Anne Coulter and how brilliant I thought she was until she Shat in her mess kit. The beauty of Rush was he was right about everything until the day he died. Try to think back to the 80's to find something Rush was weak on or conservatives might disagree with. I can't think of anything. That's hard to do for over 30 years. I would hate to suggest Candace or Shapiro and something come up that they had the wrong opinion of due to their age. Levin has that experience. Even Newt Gingrich is usually the smartest guy in the room but he has said many things I disagreed with thinking he was being "reasonable".
You definitely listed some “rock stars”. Might be a great idea!
Perhaps there needs to be a bit of “sifting” going on until the “right” hosts emerges from the pack.

I don’t see that holding nearly Rush’s audience and thus budget (and my Steyn fantasy wouldn’t either), but that’s definitely another type of variety show!
No one could truly replace Rush. I think that Buck Sexton did entertaining shows filling in for Rush about 5 or 6 years ago. I haven’t heard Buck since then, but I understand that he has a daily talk radio show.
I can’t help but think that Drudge got some cash tossed Annie’s way by his anti-Trump benefactors, but there was a critical point back in Trump’s initial run when she was backing Trump while Levin was trashing Trump.
Mega Dittos on Steve Deace! I’ve been listening to him for years!
He was NeverTrump in 2016 he was not in 2020 but he’s not shy about critisizing President Trump. Today he was fighting off arousal at Trump’s beating of McConnell. He was so excited had to check in on “what his wife is up to”.

Buck does...and it’s not bad, but I really think it’s going to take multiple people to replace Rush, until some now 10 yr old radio/media entrepreneur pops out in 20 years
I prefer Steve Deace over at The Blaze, but I assume he is locked up there. I dig his more current (80s/90s) pop culture references, but I don’t know if all the Marvel nerdboy stuff would be accepted by Rush’s crowd.
Levin airs 6p -9p in my market too. I am saying if I was carrying his show I would want to renegotiate to get his show moved to 12:00. I have listened to him for quite some time and have no doubt he has an intellect to match Rush’s. Different, yes but outstanding. He in his own way could fill Rush’s shoes.
The problem I have with your suggestion is not with the credibility of the names you listed. Each is fine in their own domain. Rush was a true broadcast professional and instinctively knew how to grab and keep an audience. He took the intricate details and back stories of the political scene and boiled them down and presented the truth with great clarity. He made it look easy but it is not. That is why he sits at the top of Mount Olympus of American orators.
I have listened to Mark Levin present conservatism on his show for quite some time now. He is brilliant and smokes out the Left from his own perspective on a par with Rush, in my opinion. I think the conservative cause could and would rally behind him in a manner similar to Rush. Just my opinion.
Dennis Prager. He is the best choice with a conservative political intellect a good as Rush.
