Perhaps you can share your laughter with Ted, because, I assure you he is not laughing... He would have been better off keeping his flapping tongue still... blaming ones children for hot Mexican beaches will not float for the average American.
By the way, do you have a clue how many Americans have been 'sharing' energy because of this freak of nature. I am in Missouri and Every energy has been shutting down power to neighborhoods in Kansas and Missouri ... NOT that we do not have enough energy but to 'share' the energy for states that were not prepared.
I was told today, of a young mother's power, in Johnson County, KS, (probably one of the most wealthy counties in the midwest) was shut off for 7 + hours, and she had to make arrangements for her child to be kept warm... She certainly did not have the option to take a vacation off to some hot Mexican beach.
People who think this is NO biggie, have no clue how many millions are suffering through this epic cold.
Because Hannity believes and keeps telling everyone that the little guys in the FBI and CIA are the absolute BEST there are!! I say BS if that were so WHY IN THE HELL haven’t one of them come forward with the utter corruption of the departments!!
We continually complain that the media is always out to attack conservatives and then we keep giving them ammunition, hand grenades, and bayonets.
There is not a single post on FR that will cause more damage to Cruz than Cruz's own handling of this matter.

It's 22 degrees outside. My heat is at 62 during the day and 56 at night. I'm cold most of the time. It's even worse when we lose power. Be careful when you make assumptions.
You choose:
1. Getting your wife and kids out of a potentially-life-threatening situation; or
2. Not getting your wife and kids out of said situation because the MSM, Democrats, liberals, and lefties will scream bloody murder, thereby affecting your reelection chances next time around.
He chose the former - he should never, ever apologize to the cancel culture for that.
It’s not cancel culture. It’s logic. How about just sending the wife and kids, or how about not going on Hannity to give them more ammo with “I Planned to Stay in Cancun ‘Through the Weekend’ But I Had ‘Second Thoughts Almost Immediately’.

Something is very wrong when a conservative forum is filled with people siding with liberals and dems in attacking one of our better senators who actually stood up to election fraud. Cruz is also a solid pro-life vote.
The left wants to destroy Cruz and a lot of folks here are eager to help them. What they fail to realize is that this is EXACTLY what has given us a Dem takeover.
We should be circling the wagons. Cruz did not get in a sex scandal. He did not commit a crime. Let him decide how he wants to spend his time and money, and how he raises and co-parents his kids.
A lot of people just don’t like Cruz. It’s a gut-feeling, and it’s largely because of how he has presented his own self.

We had a 'heat' wave today, got to around 20 something... Barely hit 10 degrees if that, during the day this past week. Nights, zero or lower ... wind chill much lower ...
This past Saturday, my neighborhood and extended area lost power, due to a fire at a substation .. No power for nearly 10 hours, not sure we made it to 10 degrees, that day, as I have stopped keeping track of how cold it actually is. I found out that I could still start a fire and produce enough heat to function.
As a general 'rule' making assumptions is NOT one of my faults.. It is about 17 degrees here right now, and I am most fortunate to have power.
Don’t you think Ted has been of a bit of a hypocrite going after the mayor of Austin and Chris Christie for taking vacations during the Covid-19 crisis?
I do agree with you that it’s definitely not a major issue compared to what is going on in Texas. But, it really has opened him up to criticism that could have been avoided if he wasn’t thinking about himself.
If you’d actually read my post 19, you’d see that I am NOT ‘upset’ about it. I see no reason for demonizing Cruz for getting away with his family for a few days in the current circumstance.
(The fact that I just don’t like the guy and don’t think he’s ‘Presidential Material’ is entirely beside that point.)
