Oh yeah!
Absolutely!!! :(. He’s been with us for 30 years. Super sad. Miss him. His voice. His take on things. It doesn’t seem real. But it is. So yes. A lot of sadness.
12:06 p.m. every day when available.....now, nothing.........I’m sad
You’re right.
“But I haven’t listened to Rush much at all in a long time.
So I don’t feel that hole.”
****
Same here. YEARS for me. I already graduated from that school. I dont need to listen to him in my prime when I know his ultimate lesson:
“Liberals are f****ng stupid.”
“I believe the plan is to play a lot of his old stuff for a couple months.”
A statement I read yesterday said (IIRC) that his old stuff would be played for 90 days. The gist was so we wouldn’t have to go off cold turkey (didn’t say “cold turkey”). During that time decisions would be made as to the next step. I’m surprised Rush didn’t have that line out precisely but I guess he didn’t.
Yes. Today was hard.
Old shows won’t do it. He was good for the previous days news, he explained it helped us to understand it. I listened yesterday to his last broadcast Feb 2nd it was old news, in politics a couple of weeks is a lifetime. Its like watching the replay of a football game,it is not the same.
I thought he did well too. What a tough assignment but I’m glad he stepped up.
Me too! So sad.
Yes. A trusted friend & fellow patriot was called home.
A void. Sadness.
Mega Dittos!
Rush sized and Party sized.
No representation.
Practicing Lent helps me.
Yes. Worse than the weeks after the election. If I talk about him, I cry, so there is that. Never felt that way about a famous person. It is like I lost a family member and it is heavy.
(I cried when Nancy Zieman died, though)
I haven’t been a regular listener for many years, but I still don’t look forward to hearing that theme song any time soon. “My City Was Gone” by The Pretenders.
Chrissie Hynde made a lot of money from allowing Rush to use it. She allowed him to use that song, mainly because she remembered her late dad Melville (Bud) Hynde really liked listening to Rush.
Ditto!
I can still hear his voice in my head. Brings tears. What a remarkable man he was! We were lucky to have had him.
