I have also read that capsules can be taken to help if a person is having a heart attack—old preppers tale, but never really looked into that.

I read up a little as a refresher on capsaicin. I didn't find much on the pharmacodynamics of why it provides medical therapeutic assistance. An interesting challenge. :)
