Step away from the omelette: Eating just half an egg a day increases your risk of DEATH by 7% - unless you ditch the yolks, researchers claim

Boiled, fried, scrambled or in an omelette, whole eggs pose a threat to health and eating more of them increases your risk of death, a study claims.

Researchers found eating just half a whole egg — which includes the yolk and the white — increases the likelihood of dying by seven per cent.

Risk of death increases by a further seven per cent for every half an egg on top of this, so a person eating one egg a day has at 14 per cent greater chance of death than someone who avoids the food.

Chinese researchers who led the study believe high fat and cholesterol levels in eggs are to blame.

They warned that people should use only the whites or switch to healthier egg substitutes, which lower the risk of dying.

Substituting an equivalent amount of nuts or legumes for half a whole egg reduced death rates by up to a third. Poultry, dish or dairy products had a similar effect.

Do not eat dry dog food, it is loaded with antibiotics.

New a guy who used it to keep his lions and bears tame.

Poultry, dish or dairy products

How convenient for China, which is experiencing repeated out breaks of avian flu, grain shortages for dairy cows and more aggressive challenges of Chinese fishing vessels intruding into waters they’re not supposed to be fishing in

another chinese ‘study’ to throw in the trash

LOL, and I'm walking right there with you. I like eggs, I eat eggs.

However, some years ago I read an article that said egg yolks have a substance called colene (sp?), which, according to the article, helps the body break down the fats within the yolk. Eggs truly are the perfect food.

Bull Crap. I don’t believe a word of it. Eggs are some of the best things you can eat-especially the yolks. Of course that’s for eggs from healthy chickens that are free range and not fed GMO grains or corn.

The yolks from eggs are one of the few sources of Vitamin K2, which is needed for calcium to go to your bones instead of coated your arteries. K2 is fat soluble and not available from plants. It is also available from dairy products such as butter and certain cheeses.

Animals such as cows that eat grass make the K2-humans don’t have that ability. K2 should not be confused with K1 which is abundant in greens such as spinach.

Did the study use Chinese Chicken eggs raised in their polluted environment?

And adding potatoes — hash brown, home fried, etc. — increases the positive effects.

I agree, eggs are the perfect food, virtually all creatures eat them, they are extremely versatile.

I told my son as a a child, “if you can master the lowly egg, you will never be sad or go hungry”

Sounds like veganazi propaganda to me.
I don’t care. If my time comes sooner it comes sooner. Living in dull misery eating flavorless wretched “good for you” bark and dirt isn’t worth a few extra months of “life”.

Potatoes are a GREAT addition to an eggs and bacon breakfast...not to mention grits, toast, jelly (for the positive effects of fruit), maybe some pancakes or waffles.

Now I’m hungry.
