Well, for that matter Donald Trump is not a solid Trump supporter. What idiot would appoint so many enemies and keep them in place time and time again?

There is usually a good reason for “wtf?” kind of votes from Rand.
He voted against making lynching a crime for example and people freaked out about that so he had to explain why
What did impress me was that Rand Paul had spent the time in advance to make himself extremely well-prepared, so that he was able to rattle off his opinion and facts very rapidly; and in so doing he talked over Chrissie's attempts to cut him off or talk over him. Rand Paul just bulldozed over Wallace, in a way so rarely seen by spineless Republicans.
And then he changed the subject, Alinsky style and continued on.
To me, "speechless" means sitting there, silent, for a long time, unable to speak.

In fairness, it is against FR posting conventions to make up one’s own headline instead of the headline at the linked material. Seems like that goof-up has backfired with a lot of the commenters here, FRiend RandFan. Even though I liked the clip very much, your threads might benefit from avoiding this FR no-no in the future.
Only given a few minutes? It doesn’t take much time to say Trump did not promote violence and said in his speech that they would peacefully march to there Capitol. Instead he focused on hypocrisy which isn’t on trial.
Wasted opportunity and weak.
I expect better from Rand Paul. Maybe Paul actually believes Trump is guilty and is just upset over the double standard.

The DC Lifers really do run the bureaucracy-Fed.gov.
How do you purge the DC Lifers...the bureaucracy...many of whom have served as secretaries, receptionists etc in DC Fed.gov -in some families ever since the 1930’s?
They know which side their bread is buttered and who butters it. The UniParty. They control the schedule, the phone messages, screen the emails, schedule meetings for everybody across government. They will not do anything that could upset the apple cart for the UniParty.
That is the REAL limitation on the imagination and sweep, on the “power” of an AG like Sessions or Barr. And ultimately on a “rogue” president

Watching Chris Wallik is like watching a talking anus. It is fascinating but gets old fast. I couldn’t finish watching it.

Part of me hopes Trump will give Wallace what he thinks he wants — and create a three-ring circus that drags on for weeks, with pieces of evidence following more pieces of evidence, going back to last summer, when all the Dems favored violence, with Kamala even saying, “the riots won’t stop, nor SHOULD they stop!”
