As the pandemic continues to shutter businesses, close schools and upend lives in California, Gov. Gavin Newsom has become a target of angry frustration for some, driving a grassroots effort to recall him from office. What once started as a pipe dream is beginning to look like a political threat for the Democratic governor.

Please. Everyone hates him here.
It's only recently that it's been chic to blame "right-wing movements" as the boogeyman.
This is just agitprop by the LA Times to deflect for Newsom.

My wife says if Neswsom is recalled, Trump should run for Governor of California.
Yes we learned already. Some votes either don’t count, change, or get shredded. Last I knew the left demands felons vote. Quite the contradiction there.
“Far-right”, “QAnon”, “virus skeptics”, “White” are all leftist dogwhistles. They don't even have to put forward an argument, just assert any of these things and the democommies all start barking the same tune.
“It is now White grievance.”
That’s racist. Imagine asserting that the political complaints of anyone other than a White person were invalidated by their skin color. But here it is, doing it to White people passes unquestioned in the Los Angeles Slimes.
Hi-dilly-ho neighbor, you’re going to get kicked in the kididdlehopper for using that language!
You watch. The Newsom recall effort will claim they have more than enough to put it on the ballot. Then by magic, some commission or court will determine a certain number of signatures are invalid, dropping the recall signature count below the required threshold.
Whenever someone in the real world tries the “guilt by association” fallacy, I have some fun with it.
“You cannot believe that the Earth is round. Those crazy people who think reptilian aliens rule over us _also_ think the world is round. Therefore the world _must_ be flat.”
;-)
first of all, a successful recall petition is going to have a few more signatures on it than q can provide.
And it didn’t bother the latimes that 100% of the russian collusion fairy tale that they reported on relentlessly was straight from team hillary.
So?
This is how they will try to squash the MAGA movement or even ordinary citizens that have had enough. Say hello to the third Reich Nazi regime! I wish I was just jiving but it’s the gospel truth! They’re coming for us in any action we do if we speak out against injustice or go against the government they’re going to come back with that and justify it.
Yeah and SO WHAT, we are sick of Gruesome fraud Newsom here, he has DESTROYED California..yes it was a pretty big mess before he got here but he finished it off
I heard Gus Hall voted this last election. I wonder if he is behind this.
Ho’s carrying Newsom’s water. Fluck off.
Why are conservatives always referred to as far -Right and the leftist scum are never referred to as far-left? Pisses me off.
Arrest the all!
Any opposition to the regime is, and will be forever be labeled as extremist, terroristic, subversive, traitorous etc..
‘Your either with us, or against us.
If you are against us then you must be destroyed forever.’
That is what we face.
How does one deal with that?
I hate to complain, but one of the reasons for the slow start to signatures was that they highlighted downloading the petition and mailing it in. Do they realize how many people have no access to download anything due to the lockdown? It’s quite a presumption that people have printers at home, and a LOT of people are not going to go to FedEx to pay $5 to print a form. Libraries are closed, businesses are closed so no workplace printer, lots of people just have a smartphone.
They should gave highlighted all the brick & mortar business places you can stop by and sign the petition in the first place. My best friend in CA found the petition from the list at the website - on her 3rd visit to the site.
Just call him Fidel Che Gruesome!
“Recall Newsom effort has ties to far-right movements, including QAnon and virus skeptics”
Oh L.A. Times, good grief.
