Ten minutes to three in the morning...
Going offshore fishing in a few hours, so nights like this I awaken frequently, knowing I’ve gotta be up at 4:30-5 to load the boat with 9 rods, gear and run for bait. Checking the clock every hour or so. You guys that fish or hunt know this story =o)
Anyway, well, before I tell it, lemme say, that I claim no special knowledge, or the seat of a prophet. I’ve been tossing and turning for an hour because of dream.I’m posting it because it’s fresh in my mind.
I dreamt that I was flipping though pages. Digital pages. They appeared to be PDFs. White pages with black font. I wasn’t reading the pages but looking at the bottoms of the pages where the page numbers are located, as though I was searching for a particular page. As the pages went by, left to right (odd, I know, but hey, it’s a dream) the pages suddenly turned black with large white font at the bottom, maybe five or so pages into the PDF. One word was capitalized, then smaller words. This was like an hour ago, but I cannot remember what the all cap word was, but it connotes WARNING of some sort. Whatever was going on with the black pages caused anxiety. So I went back, and forth trying to find where the white pages ended, but more importantly where the black pages began, to try to determine what it was that changed and every time I got to the black page, high anxiety came over me.
Then the date of February 1 was going through my mind over and over and over again. I can’t tell you why, but I kept focusing on this date and very high anxiety associated with it. It was such an issue that I wrestled with that date.
I woke up doing math in my head along this line...
Nov 3 election
45 days for DNI report = Dec 18
Then 45 days for DNI action = Feb 1
I did the math over and over, counting on my hands, thumping fingers on the blanket...yep, Feb 1st.
Who wakes up at 2:45 counting calendar days on their fingers?
Whatever it is in the dream was ominous and dark on those pages.
Hinted of revealing information and resulting violence.
So there it is, my dumb dream.
If it’s nothing, then it’s just the ramblings of a guy who’s excited to go fishing in a few hours, with torn left shoulder tendons, restless, awaiting surgery and who doesn’t want to over-sleep. But the dream wasn’t about fishing and prep, like I’d expect.
If it’s something, then let God have ALL the glory for His dreams given to men and let me remain simply the vessel.
Ok...now how to go back to sleep, for 90 minutes, knowing I don’t want to oversleep ha!
Sometimes it takes 36-40 hrs before the wind down comes. Then 8-12 hrs.
It's better in summer when I can get out and get sunshine and work in the garden. I read somewhere that sunshine helps you somehow with having a correct bio rhythm.
You are gone by now but offshore has been great off the upper keys we have had giant swords caught 300-700 a big bluefin tuna off Dade County lots of sails a few wahoo,lots of kingfish and some bft’s up to 30 lbs. Deep dropping is awesome as well with queen snapper to 25lbs. B liners, vemillion snapper, grouper release only and lots of scallyways. yellowtiasing is off and on.
