A member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives has filed a bill that calls for the establishment of a Bigfoot hunting season in the state. The audacious idea is reportedly the brainchild of Rep. Justin Humphrey, who reportedly put forward the proposal on Wednesday. The fairly succinct resolution, which can be read here, states that "The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission shall promulgate rules establishing a big foot [sic] hunting season. The Commission shall set annual season dates and create any necessary specific hunting licenses and fees."
It remains to be seen whether or not the bill will wind up receiving a vote when the Oklahoma legislature meets on February 1st as, similar to what happened with a Washington state bill aimed at putting Sasquatch on license plates, it could get stuck in the bureaucratic process. Be that as it may, should be resolution pass, it would go into effect on November 1st, 2021.

Of all the idiotic nonsense... This sounds to me like subterfuge meant to disarm the country. Get a bunch of morons and idiots running around with guns hunting a myth. Then they’ll point to what they created and use it as an excuse for why we all must be disarmed.
I’ll need to mess with him just like Jack Links told me too
Establish a hunting season for a bi-pedal humanoid-like creature?
What could possibly go wrong?
how big of a foot does it have to be?
[[Bigfoot is an endangered species!! Why would you kill them? They mean us no harm.]]
What are you talking about? They are the ones causing climate change-
[[We have a Big Foot Festival near Honobia every year.]]
Cool, how many bigfoots, bigfeets, show up?
how much will a Squatch Tag will cost. = .25 Cents
Are there going to be bag limits on Bigfoots? = No
Will hunters be allowed to use rifles or will it just be black powder or bow hunting? = Anything you like
Will there be prohibitions on hunting female Bigfoots? = No, They are just as smelly as the Males
Is there a size limit? = Yes, anything over 16 inches tall is fair game
That is, can we kill adolescent Bigfoots? = Only abortionists can hunt them
What prompted him? He is an idiot probably from Pushmataha County where there isn’t much going on. The fools in the state house don’t have any idea what their real job is so they do crap like this.
The folks who staged the Patterson-Gimlin hoax came forward a few years ago for interviews. It’s fake, sorry to say.
How much does a license to hunt cost?
Two guys on horseback running across a lone Sasquatch in the wash of Bluff Creek, Ca., east of Eureka, Ca. does push the bounds of believability past the breaking point. However (and there is always a however) Patterson was up there sniffing around because a logging company construction crew in the area were reporting odd occurrences around the construction site. The 52 gallon drums of diesel were being found down the side of the hill in the mornings, with "large" footprints all over the place.
I guess if a couple of lunatics decided to put footprints around a construction site, push around a bunch of oil drums weighing at least 440 lbs out in the middle of nowhere. Then there was the 700 lb. grader tire they found over in a ditch one morning.
I've been up there a few times. It's very sparsely populated, steep mountainous country that people drive thru, not a destination of any kind. All these events took place several miles up a logging access road off the two-lane highway. People who lived up there had better things to do, like make a living - especially in 1958.
His name is Darryl and he likes to be seen.
You need to lighten up, Francis.
Humphrey is from Lane in Atoka County.
Interesting this thread came up. My son is a cop and ran into a National Park Ranger yesterday and had an interesting conversation. My house is located at the boundary of a National Park and we have had all kinds of wildlife my son has seen in the yard through the years.
Anyway they started talking and the subject of Mountain Lions came up in Kentucky and the ranger didn’t think they were present in our park and my son said I have to disagree having seen them multiple times in twenty years about the property. Then the ranger said there are some strange things in this park and my son said like what? The ranger finally said I think there are Sasquatch in this park. Really my son said based on what? He said the ranger was careful with what he said, but there are lots of sounds, smells and other things that cannot be explained by the animals in this part of the country. My son told him nothing of some of the strange things that have happened in the woods around my house over the years. I’m not saying there are boogers having never seen one but there are strange things we can’t logically explain that have happened over the years about the place.
I think it’s a bad idea having an open season on a biped that at a distance might look very much like a man.
how much will a Squatch Tag will cost
SQUAT!
False.
The ones claiming the patterson footage was staged were themselves debunked.

You think I am joking? After years of denying that we had lions in Michigan they were finally forced to admit we do.
They (DNR) maintained the big cats practiced birth control (not a breeding population) and that they were now an endangered species so shooting them was illegal.
Make a bigfoot hunting permit a $2 addition onto your usual hunting permit, the department gets more money, the hunters get a chuckle and a story and you are protected just in case.
