I agree, it’s impossible to be prepared for something that never happens. Just because it might. Liberals seem to be dancing about this, but it really doesn’t prove that Texas is not self-sufficient in normal circumstances. Or in a few days, when they insulate the supply lines.

It has been a while since I have been here but I wanted to give my condolences to ALL those who loved Rush dearly and that includes most of us Freepers.
It has been a little over a year this month since my dear sweet husband passed and I don’t know why but I felt it in my bones that Rush would pass away this month also.
Feb. 4th, 2020 is the day my husband passed and I woke up this Feb. 4th feeling the Lord was taking me now. I started to get out of bed and I fell back and then the bed started spinning around and around and I felt like I was drowning. Being taken down in a whirlpool of water. I finally saw a doctor last Thurs. and she saw fluid in my ear. put me on some steroid pills and some nose spray, and Meclizine. So far nothing has been working. I have had this before but NEVER with the Vertigo. It lasts for months with my head sounding like I am in a tunnel when I talk and I can hardly hear when like this. She suggested I get drain tubes put in, but I don’t know why I have become paranoid about any surgery.
Just found out my son-in-law’s father has some kind of cancer and not expected to live. He had been estranged from his father pretty much since his parents divorced. The father never had much love for this son. They just found out he is NOT leaving anything to him or his only biological daughter. He is leaving the house to the daughter of the woman he married and and some money to his oldest son and a few trinkets to the other son. It breaks my son-in-laws heart to know his father didn’t love him at all but it breaks his heart even more to know he didn’t love his daughter. Both of them have so much love and caring for others. The passing of someone can be a blessing or it can be a time of so much hurt. Anyway February sucks.
We have over a foot of snow here. I just received pictures from my brother in Indianapolis and it looks like he has the same amount. It sounds like almost the whole country is WHIE. What a prejudiced country we are. </sarcasm off >
I want to thank all of you for being there when my husband passed. Without your love and support I am not sure I would have made it. I decided to take a break from all that was going on on social media because it was/is to depressing for me. I may check back in from time to time.

My granddaughter lives on a ranch. She said they were trying to keep the cows alive. They have a couple horses too, the don’t have a closed in barn and didn’t put any blankets on them, hope they’re ok.

Vertigo is scary. I had that once when I had a cold and went up to the cabin at 7200 feet. I couldn’t even walk across the room. You’ll be very careful and I am praying some thing the doctor does starts working.
How sad for your son-in-law’s father to be so uncaring with his own children. That’s a horrible memory that he is leaving those kids. But I’m sure they will learn from that and be much better parents in every way.
So many losses so far. This is not a good year for conservatives. Not yet anyway
