My husband went and got the vaccines this morning at the VA. I told him that there were reports out that there was some pretty horrific side effects, although not terribly common. He didn’t care.
That’s okay I figured the more people to get it the less chance I need to get it. Unless they restrict us from flying or other things if we don’t have it. With the Nazis in firm control now, I figure I’m going to need to show my documents if I tried to leave the house pretty soon.
“No self-respecting snow dancer, in TX, would be caught NOT wearing cowboy boots”
LOL. Interesting that the only part you found disturbing was the hiking boots.
Pretty sure I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t mention it.
Not to my knowledge, NIKK.
The gas furnaces these days usually have fans to deliver the warmed air to the home, in forced air systems, and to provide make-up air for the super efficient models.
A battery pack would not be of much help there.
When we lived in Georgetown, DE, years ago, there was a huge power transformer that had to be replaced and we were going to be without power for 10 hours—during February!
The battery pack ignited the fireplace and we huddled in the living room for ten hours that day under blankets!
Made me appreciate the comforts of modern living.
Thanks for informing us about free pancakes! That’s probably my favorite is food in the world. Well okay maybe just one of them.
I’ve been trying to call the doctor’s office in Nashville all day. This time I just get their typical recording but nobody ever picks up. Yesterday I got a recording that said they were closed due to inclement weather.
Have you heard anything more about State offices or doctors offices or anything else being closed?

Heck....he coulda driven that sedan to OK, for all we know.
I found the entire thing disturbing!
Reminded me of this guy....

Which shot did he get, do you know?
LOL, those feisty Brits!
I do love it when Europe has had enough of the socialism they vote for. Or perhaps they don’t, maybe they have dominion machines as well.
“For crying out loud-dress like a grown woman!”
Not that long ago there was a picture of her looking like she was wearing a playsuit. Something from Romper Room.
Very strange.
To be honest, if we looked at the warning labels/papers of the medications we do take, we’d probably be horrified.
For example, I took the drug Actos for about 10 years. Then it was linked to developing bladder cancer. Europe has banned it, but it’s still used here in the US.
I don’t know. I imagine it’s on the piece of paper they gave him.

It makes me nervous that our new house doesn’t have a single wood stove. The old house had two, and with plenty of power outages to test it, they were able to keep the house reasonably warm.
The new house is closer to town so there’s probably less power outages possible. But still. I don’t feel like a prepared prepper unless I have backup heat.
No, haven’t heard any updates about closures.
I just looked at the Smartway; the interstates look clear (green) but the secondary roads are still orange (slower traffic so could still be snow on roads). If I did the link correctly, you can click on the blue circles to see that certain interstates around Nashville still say ‘extremely hazardous’. Local roads won’t show since the state doesn’t maintain them. You can zoom in on local roads to see what color they are, if that makes sense.

Take care. I pray the roads are salted and sanded.
You’re funny Jane.
ROFLOL
That! Is perfect.
