I’ve checked the traffic cameras in East TN; roads appear to be fine once you’re a little east of Nashville.
Old timers here refer to the winter of ‘67 as our worst.

We got about 7ft. in about a week, everything came to a stand still, local grocery’s roof caved in, much hardship.

At 1 am I had 3 1/2 inches. I measured again this morning when I got up and it was 5 to 5 1/2 inches on patio. They are saying freezing rain late tomorrow and the next day. Anyone in the area that did not have enough supplies on hand may need to drive out in this crap. Thankfully I have everything I need plus some, so I don’t need anyone to bring me anything.
Hi! I’m fine, just busy packing. And moving. Since we aren’t hiring anybody, it’s taking a lot of trips back and forth. But yesterday I got some beautiful shelves from Home Depot so we were gone all day, had to drive to Kingsport which is about an hour and a half away.
I haven’t caught up on the thread at all. I think during the impeachment I just didn’t want to hear about it. It’s easier to just be in denial that the insanity isn’t really as crazy as it is. I never thought it would get this bad that fast.
Nashville? I’m going there on Wednesday. Are you talking because of the snow storm? I hope it’s all cleared up by then! Are you staying warm? The weather is pretty unbelievable, in normally warm places.

Are you staying warm in Texas? When we lived in Corpus Christi it was the best winter I ever had. T-shirts and shorts weather. I hope all the palm trees survive the storm now, they don’t like that kind of weather.

No, not a generator but many have a wood/pellet stove or fireplace and oil lamps.
We don’t have that many really bad storms any more.
It used to be really wild here in the winter.
I think we taught preppers how to prep.
Wow, those birds eat a lot of seed. Went through a 40# bag in about 8 days. Of course , that is with the help of squirrels.

Yes, I’m talking because of the snow storm. We’re not supposed to be above 20 tomorrow and right now we have MORE snow predicted for Wednesday & Thursday. Wednesday’s high is supposed to be 31.
We won’t be above freezing until this Saturday and no sun to help thaw things at all. The major roads (interstates & limited access roads) may be clear in 2 days, but the side roads won’t.
