...I was just wondering what these newly-minted Texans from California are thinking right about now!If any of 'em have friends moved to Montana, tell 'em to send sympathy cards (plus maybe directions to El Paso)
This morning, temp at The Homestead was -30 with 18-20" snow.
Forecast says we'll get all the way to 15 ABOVE by Wednesday or so with more warming (maybe above 35) by the weekend.
That's the Good News.
The BAD news is that this is what we call a Warm Before the Storm so it's reasonable to expect more snow/cold most of next week.
It's okay.
Winter weather in Montana can be expected almost year round but usually concentrates between Halloween and Easter. If you come up to camp in the mountains that expands to Labor Day to Memorial Day....if you're lucky.
Don't have to be crazy to live in Montana, but it sure helps. (You do fit in that way.)

I didn’t think about the ones that settled in Idaho, Colorado, or Montana!
However, I’m afraid Kabetogama, MN beat you for the low temperature today....-45. Not sure about snowfall.

Yes, its like someone said the other day...this SNOW is God's cleansing of our country. It truly makes sense. Its a calm and quiet for us to get more in touch with God.
