I know a little bit about defamation law. The defamation lawsuit Dominion filed against Sidney Powell will not be pursued. Dominion has the burden of proving Sidney’s statements were false. Good luck with that one, Dominion! The lawsuit was filed to get a headline and intimidate others from speaking truth about Dominion. How do you spell p-r-o-p-a-g-a-n-d-a? I hope Sidney files a Rule 11 motion for sanctions against Dominion. Maybe I will help her . . .

Up early out here in the desert SW. The house dog alerted on the rogue kitty cat that routinely runs on top of the head high masonry block wall dividing our lot from the neighbor’s lot behind us. It’s a superhighway for the neighborhood cats as the wall runs the length of the block, which in this particular subdivision is about 3 normal city blocks long.
How the house dog detects the silent running kitty cat is a mystery to me. To thwart the house dog that sleeps in his master’s room, my brother taped black plastic sheeting over the sliding patio doors so the house dog could not see outside. Yet still somehow, the house dog manages to detect sworn mortal enemy number one- defiant trespassing kitty cat.
Since I am leaving later this spring for my summer job in the mountains, my brother recently installed a doggie door for house dog to take rest room breaks when he is at work. Now house dog comes and goes as he pleases, which includes when kitty cat is trespassing. Kitty cat does not care about private property concept but kitty cat does care about house dog concept, so kitty cat tries to sneak across masonry wall superhighway, before house dog finds out and goes to work unsuccessfully trying to catch kitty cat but, house dog does what house dogs must do, and kitty cat does what kitty cats must do, since time immemorial, so... here I am collateral damage, wide awake at 4AM, singing the blues.
The unintended consequence to all of this is that I sleep outside on a Futon bed/couch on the patio and said doggie door is nearby due to all manner of physical things being what they are- such as the location of the kitchen window, the living room French doors, the wall mounted water spigot, the sliding patio door, and both ends of the patio itself, etc., which defines the location of said sleeping apparatus nestled against the houses’ exterior rear wall, uniting me unfortunately with the newly installed doggie door.
Thankfully, I think I am having an epiphany of sorts, or a successful brainstorming session (necessity being the mother of invention) and might have an idea for some relief. My bed is literally pinched between a doggie door and a protruding wall mounted water spigot so my options are really very limited. I will turn the bed around 180 degrees, putting the head of the bed opposite the doggie door, and I will buy some 2 inch thick Styrofoam insulation and build a sound barrier at the (now) foot of my bed, maybe adding a 3/4 inch piece of plywood for a secondary sound barrier layer and protection for the Styrofoam. Eureka!
Dosing on medical (Indica strain) marijuana would be a simple sleep aid fix, but runs contrary to a boat captain’s creed AND is in violation of strict FED GOV transportation laws so I’ve kept that option off the table, not that I haven’t considered it seeing how the entire country has flipped and just says YES to using drugs.
OK- a long winded therapy session of sorts but... I do see some light at the end of the tunnel now or at the very least I’m hopeful for better sleep ahead so thanks for being deplorable and irredeemable. Oh yes, I almost forgot that I’m ordering a couple of My Pillow pillows later today from super MAGA Mike. Bonus!
