I’ll watch it on your recommendation when I can, then.

No, no comparison, but about no free speech, big tech, Pelosi, lockdown, etc.
We are under lockdown since last Fab. And suddenly last week they opened when our area was recording the highest number of infection and death.
Hi Spirit....
My little bubble has remained intact throughout this craziness, for the most part. I always say that I’ve been practicing for this for years lol. It’s mostly because I never stopped going to where I normally go. The only two things I’ve really missed is the hairdresser and my cleaning lady! I actually had to dust and vacuum over the weekend. It wasn’t pretty.
I’m just wondering something. I don’t buy a lot of stuff, but I find myself using Amazon more than I want to....seeing as I don’t want to use them at all. Boy, it’s hard to NOT use them. Is anyone else trying to cut the Amazon cord? Do you all still have a variety of stores open that you don’t have to use Amazon? They’ve just made it so darned easy.....I have to stop myself now and either go without, or find it elsewhere (and it’s often a bit more expensive).

These people are so evil. I can’t hear this stuff without my blood pressure going up. I loathe the left.
https://nypost.com/2021/02/01/pennsylvania-official-at-center-of-trump-election-concerns-resigns/
“The Pennsylvania secretary of state who emerged as a villain to supporters of former President Donald Trump said Monday she will resign for failing to comply with an unrelated state election law.
Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat, will leave office on Feb. 5. Her office botched the handling of a state constitutional amendment that would allow more sexual abuse victims to sue their alleged abusers.
In a statement, she said, “I’ve always believed that accountability and leadership must be a cornerstone of public service. While I only became aware of the mistake last week, and immediately took steps to alert the administration to the error, I accept the responsibility on behalf of the department.”
Pennsylvania law requires that proposed amendments pass the state legislature twice. The secretary of state’s office must publicize the proposed amendment in two newspapers in each of the state’s 67 counties ahead of the election between votes, which her office failed to do.”

In other words, “I am resigning on principle for a stupid item, not for blatantly stealing the PA elections for the Democrat Party. I would like to thank the Democrat Party for rewarding my hard work with the amount wired to my offshore bank account”
More winning!
Even though he’s gone, he keeps on winning!
You’re welcome, CB.
Agree.....it’s sad that the younger folks haven’t even been taught to research and learn REAL history.
I’m an introvert, so staying home for days at a time was my norm to begin with. LOL I’ve joked that if I didn’t go to church, Weight Watchers or the grocery store, I wouldn’t see people for days on end even BEFORE this happened! I did a lot of online shopping prior to this anyway.
I do order stuff from Amazon even before COVID, just because it’s easier. I hate going to a store that shows they have an item online but they don’t carry in the actual store. Having worked at Michaels, I understand; they don’t have room in the retail store to carry everything in their inventory. COVID just exacerbated the situation, in my opinion.
Other than Amazon, the only place I know of where you can order most everything you want from one place is Walmart. But to me, that’s almost on par as ordering from Amazon. I’ve seen small companies listing their items on Amazon or Walmart more to get exposure, but you can often order from them directly even though it might cost more. Our local yarn store closed right before COVID hit. We have Michaels, Joann, Hobby Lobby and Walmart that sell yarn. If there’s a certain yarn I want, I can probably go to that company’s website and order it. It’s just easier (but not as fun!).
I do have some books I want that I’m going to Books A Million to purchase (we still have a bricks and mortar bookstore!); if they’re out of stock I’ll order directly from their website. So there’s ways around the Amazon addiction but you’re right that it could cost more.
Most young people have little or no history. They don’t even know what real communism entails. The left did a fine, fine job of separating young people from history, God, and in many cases, family.
Well, the other day I was looking for a particular fabric.
I first stopped at Joann’s and they didn’t have it. Then I tried Hobby Lobby. Nope, they didn’t have it, either.
I’ve (tried) ordering fabric online, even from Amazon, and it just hasn’t worked out, for me.
I guess, next, I’ll have to go to the YUGE fabric store, downtown. That is like a day trip, for me.....regardless which (closest) downtown I go to.
😱
Thanks for your concerns. Things are going as well as can be expected. Am healing well. Not having second surgery until April. Hoping to be in house by then with running water. 😁. Running over to cabin to use toilet is getting old. LOL
I don’t really mind if it costs a little more. I agree, supporting Walmart is not much different than supporting Amazon. The powers-that-be have done a great job of eliminating small, privately owned businesses. In the town nearby, we have a Home Hardware (which I believe is a franchise), a Canadian Tire and no Walmart. There are no department stores like there used to be. At least not around here.
I just don’t like giving money to Bezos. I’m sure he’ll notice that I’ve stopped purchasing from him! lol
Also in other words - They allowed her to stay on long enough to rig the election & then allowed her to resign.
“Not sure about Eric; if the rumors of Lara running for NC Senator in 2022, I would think they would need to buy a house there?”
That’s what I’m thinking.
Exactly. I’ve watched numerous videos of why people decide to move to another country. I can respect those that move due to a lower cost of living (especially retirees) or those that like the culture or the adventure.
But those that move because the US isn’t the socialist utopia that they want, and then they make videos about it....let’s just say they trip my trigger. ;) But then again, we often say ‘if you’re not happy here, leave!’. Gotta give them props for at least doing that.
You’re right there, the younger generation has not been taught how to think.
