When I said that I was thinking of Reagan as well. I didn’t remember him showing that much age at all after 8 years. The left did, but not Reagan.
Whenever I hear “Trudeau” the first mental picture I get is him in the Indian outfit dancing.

I’ve known some scum lawyers. Many laws and lawyers are not the least bit logical.
In my younger days I wanted to be an international corporate lawyer, but life got in the way, no regrets. But I never fantasized about justice or logic, because that doesn’t exist in that world.
Wictor’s scope of knowledge has been the Middle East and the wars that have been going on there. How so much of it is/was fought differently by amazing new technology. Many of his tweets on how Trump influenced the leaders in the Middle East have been spot on. He was then banished from Twitter and started posting on this new site. I always liked his perspective and am interested in his take on the legitimacy of the current administration. (sorry can’t bear to say the word that begins with B)
I fired a lawyer that the union had for years. He wrote four pages to my boss and the board about how horrid I was. I should have kept a copy of that letter as a letter of recommendation. 😎

I’ll bet it’s nice. I used to get calendars from a British magazine, years ago. I think it was called My England. I’ll have to go look that up. The gardens, thatched roofs, cobblestone roads....so beautiful. I can’t image the pics out of England, London in particular, these days.

I ‘remember’ Reagan vaguely; I wasn’t old enough to vote for him the first time around.
What I do remember, since I had a love of history even then, was the talk about the Zero-Year Curse (aka Curse of Tippecanoe) because up to that time, all Presidents elected in a year ending with 0 since 1840 had died in office. And that election year was 1980.
Then March 30, 1981 happened. I was in school and an announcement came over the PA system. Nothing happened to George W. Bush (election 2000) so some say the Curse was broken when Reagan survived. Guess we’ll see...
I also remember an aunt saying Reagan was the Anti-Christ because his name (Ronald Wilson Reagan) each had 6 letters. But, she was also a Democrat!
