I ‘remember’ Reagan vaguely; I wasn’t old enough to vote for him the first time around.

What I do remember, since I had a love of history even then, was the talk about the Zero-Year Curse (aka Curse of Tippecanoe) because up to that time, all Presidents elected in a year ending with 0 since 1840 had died in office. And that election year was 1980.

Then March 30, 1981 happened. I was in school and an announcement came over the PA system. Nothing happened to George W. Bush (election 2000) so some say the Curse was broken when Reagan survived. Guess we’ll see...

I also remember an aunt saying Reagan was the Anti-Christ because his name (Ronald Wilson Reagan) each had 6 letters. But, she was also a Democrat!

Interesting. I’d never heard of the Zero Year Curse. So glad he broke it! Reagan the anti-Christ.....also hadn’t heard that one before. The spirit of anti-Christ has sure taken over our countries....there’s no denying that!

I was plenty old enough to vote for him but I voted for the first time in my life for him his second time. Before then I just believed in liberty not government.
