The Dems never were going to have a lot of people there for the fraud inauguration. They just used what happened on January 6 as their excuse to get all those troops in DC.
They were actually real threats of violence planned on the Internet before January 6. Too bad neither the mayor nor the house or the senate did anything about beefing up the capitol police. The capitol police seemed like mall police or museum monitors to me. Almost never does anything unusual happen in the Capitol.

Will he be allowed to talk about the election fraud though?
I think the impeachment charge (the ONLY charge) is about inciting insurrection. They may only allow discussion of the events of January 6.
I hope they allow the election fraud information to be presented. And it needs to be more than just the statistical information. If the stuff about the China-printed/watermarked authentic ballots is accurate, they best be producing them. If there were servers in Germany that the ‘white hats’ secured, they better produce them. If dead people voted, there better be documented proof, not just ‘this name is on the rolls and they’re dead’. That’s not proof the person actually voted.
This might be the only chance they get. It needs to be HARD evidence, not suppositions and theories.
I suspect that the major reason the crowd was there on January 6th was the election fraud - and if there was anger, it was justified anger. Perhaps this will have some bearing on the fraud evidence being introduced. I sure hope so.

That’s what I’m hoping; the election fraud was a contributing factor in January 6 even being an event.
Hard to say what the Senate will allow; I suspect they’ll do anything to prevent evidence that will reveal the election fraud.

I suspect they’ll do everything to shut down any evidence of fraud. It was all readily available when they ignored it and barreled through certifying a fraudulent election. They’d have more egg on their faces than Michael Moore at a breakfast smorgasbord.

And the presentation must be aimed at strongly encouraging verifiable elections in the future- that’s not incompatible with making Trump’s case too. But it’s only future elections that matter now.

Sidney Powell Launches Super PAC to ‘Fight Vigorously for Our Constitutional Rights’

Attorney Sidney Powell, who filed third-party election lawsuits on behalf of former President Donald Trump, has launched a Super PAC dedicated to a range of aims, including freedom of speech, Constitutional rights, and “the sacred right of free and fair elections.”
In a statement on Saturday, Powell announced the launch of the Restore the Republic Super PAC, which is an independent expenditure-only political action committee that may receive unlimited contributions and may engage in unlimited political spending on initiatives, provided it does not coordinate directly with campaigns or candidates.
A Jan. 22 filing with the Federal Elections Commission shows Powell as the entity’s Custodian of Records, while former Trump campaign attorney Jesse Binnall serves as the Super PAC’s Treasurer.
Powell said what prompted the move is that Americans are “starved for truth, restoration of the Rule of Law, and even-handed accountability,” and are fed up with government corruption and an “elitist political class that views them with condescension and contempt.”
“The American people deserve a voice that exposes and rejects the self-interest of political parties, the control of tech giants, and the lies of the fake news,” she said.
Vowing to be a “voice for honesty, integrity, and a return to government by We the People,” Powell said the Restore the Republic Super PAC “will be dedicated to supporting candidates who will fight vigorously for our Constitutional rights, freedom of speech, and the sacred right of free and fair elections.”
“The PAC will promote candidates who fight for truth and the Rule of Law, and we will strenuously oppose any candidate who discards the Constitution for his own short term or political gain—regardless of her party,” she said.
Powell, who successfully defended retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, was introduced by the Trump legal team in November, although the team later distanced themselves from her and said she wasn’t working on their behalf.
She is known for filing a number of contest-of-election lawsuits in the wake of the November election, which claimed fraud and other irregularities.
On the eve of President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Powell withdrew her lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court challenging Georgia’s election results. She and other attorneys on the case filed an appeal with the high court after the case was struck down in district court for lack of standing and being brought too late.
Of the dozens of post-election lawsuits filed by the Trump legal team and supporters, just one ended up netting a win, striking down a deadline extension to correct mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania that were missing proof of identification.
33 missing children rescued in major human trafficking investigation, FBI says

A multi-agency human trafficking investigation in Southern California has led to the recovery of 33 missing children, the FBI announced.
At least eight of the children had been sexually exploited, authorities said.
The FBI has seen a spike in human trafficking-related crimes in recent years, with the bureau reporting more than 1,800 pending investigations as of November 2020.
More than two dozen law enforcement agencies and non-governmental agencies participated in “Operation Lost Angels,” which began Jan. 11 as part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
“The FBI considers human trafficking modern-day slavery, and the minors engaged in commercial sex trafficking are considered victims,” Assistant FBI Director Kristi K. Johnson said, according to FOX 11 Los Angeles. “While this operation surged resources over a limited period of time with great success, the FBI and our partners investigate child sex trafficking every day of the year and around the clock.
Several of the children returned to commercial sex trafficking after they were located by authorities, either voluntarily or no coercion, requiring authorities to make several interventions.
The operation resulted in the arrest on state charges of one suspected human trafficker and the opening of multiple investigations.
Not all of the children were the victims of severe circumstances, with one child the victim of a noncustodial parental kidnapping, the FBI said.
In 2020, the FBI initiated 664 human trafficking investigations nationwide, making 473 arrests.
