Very few on the political right recognized Q as a deception until the last couple of weeks. It also looks like Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, Rudy Giuliani, and others were engaged in deception as well, with their stories of gunfights between Special Forces and the CIA in Frankfurt, Germany and discouraging Republican voters in Georgia from voting for the GOP candidates. Granted, both were weak, but the lower turnout in rural areas caused far worse Democrat candidates to win.

Bottom line: conservatives were played for fools during the Trump presidency.

I see posters on this thread that fell for that nonsense hook line and sinker and vehemently criticized those that tried to be rational about it.

It is still unclear how many of those characters got used in the psy ops and how many were just plain looney. Woods probably is in the does he have a brain tumor/needs meds/something wrong category. Not sure about Sydney Powell. I tend to think she got used.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, just elected to the House from Georgia, is still flying the Q Anon flag.

Q would hardly exist if Trump had not been involved in proving its legitimacy. The evidence that he was involved would be indisputable in a court of law. Not that you would ever consider the evidence. What ever Q is you can thank Trump for it. Trump who also never once said that Q was fake.

Bump.

Couldn’t have said it better. Reading this thread and the comments therein is a refreshing relief. A relief FR hasn’t been completely taken over by Reddit rejects.

And I agree with Travis’ assessment of this situation. If anything, “Q” was/is a deception campaign to make conservatives look foolish and unhinged.

Personally I believe it was/is just some kid or group of kids chuckling to themselves in their mom’s basement at how many they’ve duped over the years.

That’s the most optimistic take I can see. And anyway I’m done entertaining conspiracy theories. But it’s certainly possible what Travis wrote. So to err on the side of caution I say chuck “Q” out the window.

Not ban them because there’s enough of that from the left these days but publicly shame such nuttery. The light of truth is the best weapon against disinformation otherwise more retreats into even more shadowy realms of the Internet solve nothing. For anyone.

“Bottom line: conservatives were played for fools during the Trump presidency.”

Being a bit dramatic. Trump got about twelve million more votes this time than the first time. And voting is what counts, not being conversant with Q theory, whatever it is.
