Followers of the extremist ideology QAnon saw their hopes once again dashed Wednesday as President Donald Trump left Washington on the final day of his presidency, without any of the climactic scenes of violence and salvation that the sprawling set of conspiracy theories had preached for years would come.
As Trump boarded Air Force One for his last presidential flight to Florida, many QAnon adherents - some of whom had earlier this month stormed the Capitol in a siege that left at least two QAnon devotees dead and others in jail - began to wonder whether they'd been duped all along.

He was extremely nasty to anyone who criticized the Q stuff even if that criticism wasn’t aimed at any FReeper. IOW, it was uncalled for. Not surprised it caught up to him.
I gave no credibility to Q-anon and was dismayed when a friend told me that she believe it and was a follower.
He was the only person in my almost 20 years posting here that I refused to interact with. Just like wrestling in the mud...
I’ve always wondered why Q “drops” have to be delivered in code. It’s like reading the quatrains of Nostradamus.
I find it curious that while the FBI is determined to track down every last Trump supporter (or whoever) entered the Capitol, no one seems the least interested in finding out who was behind the Q conspiracies.

I read it several times but I did not like the playing games. Why didn’t Q just say what he had to say in plain English? You can drop hints without being so obscure about it.
I have a feeling the true believers will always believe, evidence notwithstanding. They can’t see the truth. They’re blind. They’re good, ernest people, but wanted Q to be real so bad they couldn’t handle it when it became obvious Q was fake. Denial happens with us all - it just varies with the circumstances.
I see posters on this thread that fell for that nonsense hook line and sinker and vehemently criticized those that tried to be rational about it.
It is still unclear how many of those characters got used in the psy ops and how many were just plain looney. Woods probably is in the does he have a brain tumor/needs meds/something wrong category. Not sure about Sydney Powell. I tend to think she got used.
That was one of the dumbest things ever, who couldnt see this? It was embarrassing to the rest of the movement. So obvious too. I wish our side was not so, gullible.
This is why I considered it conceived by very juvenile minds. Bags never wrote anything at all here that was substantive or thought-provoking. All his ‘talent’, such as it was, consisted in snark, sarcasm and invective. He never struck me as a person who really believed in anything.
