I've been buying Thorne's Quercetin Phytosome but find it expensive. So I wonder is there any real difference in quality between brands of Quercetin?

I understand that Quercetin is hard for the body to absorb. That’s where I looked at studies that the Phytosome type had the best absorption rates. I could be just another bought study but normally ‘you get what you pay for’.

Quercetin is not cheap no matter where you buy it.
Do a search on it and compare prices.
I just did a search and found prices from .15 to .26 per capsule. Look around.

The finer the powder, the better absorbed.
ConsumerLab.com tested quercetin and their picks were:
- BulkSupplements.com Quercetin Hydrate (11 cents per 500mg)
- MRM Quercetin (smallest grains)
- Solaray Quercetin
However, they tested few overall.
My wife and I get Now Foods Quercetin, but would get Swanson on one of their better sales.

“Quercetin is a plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It is found in many fruits, vegetables, leaves, seeds, and grains; red onions and kale are common foods containing appreciable amounts of quercetin.”
“In preliminary human studies, oral intake of quercetin in doses up to one gram per day over three months did not cause adverse effects.”

Yes, not really worth taking it unless bromelain is included or purchased à la carte.
