A new research study finds that the drug Fenofibrate — which is used to help keep cholesterol levels low — can potentially help treat patients suffering from the coronavirus. The study, which was recently highlighted by Knowridge, relays that the coronavirus typically impacts the body’s ability to burn carbohydrates. This, in turn, causes “large amounts of fat to accumulate inside lung cells, a condition the virus needs in order to reproduce.”...
...One of the study’s authors, Professor Yaakov Nahmias, adds:
We showed that the human lungs responded to the SARS-CoV-2 virus by completely changing their metabolism, causing a major buildup of fats in lung cells. Our findings show that this unhealthy fat buildup is a critical factor in COVID-19 patient’s deterioration....

I avoid the “health care system” and it’s affirmative action bureaucrats at all costs. I am doing just fine without them. Their only function is to turn all citizens into revenue streams for their “As Seen on TV” prescription pharmaceuticals. Once the get you on one they have you on fifty in no time.
ivermectin seems NOT ONLY good against covid but head lice, worms and maybe even dengue
I just spoke with someone yesterday whose neighbors got it last week. They live on a ranch, and their animals’ vet gave them Ivermectin. Within 1day, they felt almost 200% better.
GoodRx is part of the establishment, take what they say with a grain of salt.
They won’t know if it saves anyone or not. With a fatality rate of 0.04% it will be hard to say if it made any difference at all. It would have been better em8 months ago. Now that Trump is gone all sorts of things we didn’t know will become crystal clear.
Thanks for posting the studies/articles. I was looking for some bedtime reading that wasn’t political
Just scanning the stats, I’m not seeing where India is much better at treating covid with ivermectin than the US who is not using it, tho - 1.44 mortality versus 1.66, and perhaps higher than 1.44 given that some deaths in India aren’t recorded, whereas every death in the US is recorded. I still want to strongly discourage those who think they can run down to the local feed store and buy some horse wormer to add to their peanut butter sandwich.
fatality of 0.04?
Why would the results not be measurable, if the target subset is diabetics on oral meds (and possibly those with other metabolic disorders)? Surely discovering that the lungs not only fill with fluid but lipid is significant.
BLASPHEMY!!! One does not question the Knower of all Knowledge God King Emperor Faucy.
Rxplains the obesity connection.

Hell to the thief.
It strikes me as yet another drug, like HCQ, that ought to be OTC. Is in many countries.
Look at the curves, not just the numbers, for India. We wish ours looked like that.
They feed that stuff to million dollar race horses.
I had the virus right after Thanksgiving. My wife (who also tested positive) and I doubled down on B3, zinc, vitamin C and Melatonin. I attribute the fact that we both recovered in three or four days to those vitamins.

Considering what’s now known about anti-cholesterol drugs, anyone going on this drug regarding the virus would be a TOTAL IDIOT.
p.s., I have no problem with Ivermectin (probably the best drug for prevention and early treatment) or HCQ (better than nothing, but not nearly as good as Ivermectin).
Only if you have or don’t have them with coffee and bacon.
Kind of hard to believe they’ve been killing people with overdoses of Ivermectin and still touting it as a potential prophylaxis. Also hard to believe they’ve been posting positive results with severely small and ineffective doses..

Do you have a citation to prove this. No answer is an answer.
$14 via GoodRX. Looks very promising. Few side effects. Therefore, down the memory hole quick!!!
Did you see the post I was responding to so you could decide if I was claiming it happened or if I was just making fun of the person I was responding to?
Same deal - no answer serves as an answer.
You are correct . My error. Sorry
