Let me be clear: the president of the United States had every right to question the counting practices, lack of transparency and rules changes without legislative approval leading up to his defeat. Questioning government is a critical component of American culture and society. It's part of why a Republican form of government can work.
The problem today is that too many people ignore facts and history and regurgitate "talking points" from agenda-driven elites who control the "means of communication".
When the president of the United States is not "allowed" to inspire legal and peaceful protests, then we no longer live in a free country.
When tech billionaires are allowed to go unchecked deciding which speech is allowed and which isn't all the while enjoying the protection from liability from the federal government, then we no longer live in a free country.
When mobs of armed protestors with black shields and incendiary devices can walk unchecked through cities and neighborhoods forcing closures, destroying stores and homes, assaulting and, in some cases, killing people, driving police officers from their precinct buildings and stopping medical care from reaching people behind the rioters line, then we no longer live in a free country.
How did this happen? There are three reasons, in my opinion, that the president failed. At every turn, he had the opportunity to right the wrong, but didn't. President Trump could have solved and even prevented much of what we are now experiencing. Unfortunately, he did the opposite of what he should have done. His Oval Office speech about violence this week was the capstone on a lost war that leaves the rest of us to pick up the pieces and rebuild.

Unfortunately, a lot of the areas where Trump succeeded will be undone by the next administration (if its allowed to thrive): including, immigration, tax cuts, the wall, priority for American businesses, and World Peace.
Major successes that he did accomplish, which will not be undone: the exposure of the depth of the deep state, including the corruption within the democratic as well as the republican party, and the great awakening of a vast amount of Americans.
I kind of agree. Trump should have stopped Fauci and gang. To compound it he fast tracked development and distribution of a Covid vaccine with unknown long term effects on people. In addition, Trump should have stopped the riots. Trump said he was going to stop it in June and it went on and on.
Trump should have “promoted” Sessions to DHS which is a bigger department than DOJ as soon as Jeff recused himself.
Trump should have removed section 230 protection from media platforms which were qacting like publishers.
Trump should have yanked the FCC licenses of the bigmedia broadcasters because they did not live up to the bargain of providing free and unbiased news coverage.
Trump should have moved the military into permanent exercises along the southern border and for helping to complete the wall.
“Trump should have stopped the riots.”
Hard to do when you don’t control your own DOJ.
If his presidency had failed, he would not have won overwhelmingly
What failed was the virtue of virtually every other organ and institution of govt and yes, private groups in business and education, to stand up against blatant fraud, hypocrisy and leftist bullying.
A stolen victory is not a triumph of anything but dishonor over honor
Even a president cannot defend the Constitution alone
And Trump was alone
I told my wife we will eventually find out how little power President Trump really had. His own side was probably hanging the 25th Amendment over his head at every turn. Ryan, McConnell, Romney, Flake, McCain, were no good. Bureaucrats saying no at every turn. He was just sort of fenced in.
2. Dems(including media) colluded with the deep state and the CCP to either create the biggest scam in history OR created/launched a bio-weapon in an election year, using that also to build upon their 2018 absentee-for-all/mail-in voter fraud scheme(compounded 10-fold via "social distancing requirements").
3. The bio-weapon(farce/evil...whatever it was) hurt, but didn't sink Trump...the fraud did. More specifically, the urban fraud did.
They spent 4 years on Russia-gate and impeached him for a phone-call nothing-burger.
...yet there are NO calls for an honest/complete/unbiased/FULL investigation into election 2020(4 measly weeks to investigate/present evidence/witnesses...sorry, no standing...done???).
Pure horse manure.
Stuff your MSM/media "insurrection" talking-point spew.
Election 2020 was THE pre-planned, organized, successful...coup.
4 REAL reasons:
1: Corrupt 0bama and his corrupt minions sabotaging his every move.
2: Corrupt Pelosi and her corrupt minions sabotaging his every move.
3: Corrupt Clintons and their corrupt minions sabotaging his every move.
4: Corrupt McConnell and his corrupt minions sabotaging his every move.
(I would have included the Corrupt Media as number five, but they are already included as minions of 1-4.)
imho a main reason trump was not more successful is that there was a large amount of dark money spent on his demise.
i figure it took locating and paying off about 5000 key people to look the other way at strategic points in time.
let’s say each got $1m (average).
5000 * $1m = $5b
i feel that is still a bit low so maybe it is more like $10b.
where does this money come from? i figure much of it comes from the usual government money laundering machine, foreign aid. the remainder if any comes from multinationals (soros included).
with so much influence money sloshing around there is only one way i can see to fix it, and it is not pretty.

“Marines stole the spotlight from the National Guard in the LA Riots”
https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-trending/marines-la-riots
Eventually, the governor of California would call in more than 10,000 California National Guard troops and 2,000 active troops to quell the riots. That wasn’t enough. Then-Gov. Pete Wilson, a Marine Corps veteran, knew what he needed and asked President Bush to send in the Marines.

The Act empowers the U.S. president to call into service the U.S. Armed Forces and the National Guard:
when requested by a state’s legislature, or governor if the legislature cannot be convened, to address an insurrection against that state (§ 251),
to address an insurrection, in any state, which makes it impracticable to enforce the law (§ 252), or
to address an insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination or conspiracy, in any state, which results in the deprivation of constitutionally secured rights, and where the state is unable, fails, or refuses to protect said rights (§ 253).
His presidency did not fail. Some of his voters failed. Election time is not a good time to be tossing craziness at one’s own side.
Let’s take responsibility after failing regardless of what caused the failure. It’s the conservative way. We got tired of winning. We could have done better.
1. Voter fraud
2. Election fraud
3. Massive, bipartisan spinelessness and corruption.
It was all down hill after the travel ban. That was the last bold in your face domestic policy thing POTUS did unilaterally. The courts took their lead from the bipartisan nature of the coup and that indeed fenced him in.
He should have been more paranoid.
He gave people around him too much benefit of the doubt.
I agree 1000% with this article!
He was the President and did not use his authority to attack these areas that went out of control. He talked a good game on Twitter but failed act forcefully.
He swatted at the giant beehive with no back up plan and no aligned forces with which to counter attack. No we’re left to run for cover in every direction.
A very sobering analysis is needed as we go forward.
We failed. We had a president that would have stood with us and we, the American people, went back to sleep. Next time we have to march and burn it all down. This failure was US.
“ I told my wife we will eventually find out how little power President Trump really had”
Trump has a very confrontational personality if he doesn’t get his way and going public was toxic to those he should have been cultivating to be on his side. In the end, he had very few in the government to be on his side against his real enemies all the way around. A truly Shakespearean tragedy like Julius Caesar.
As Victor Davis Hanson said... “Trump focused too much on the ‘Campaign’ and not enough on the ‘Election‘.
