Mozilla, developer of the Firefox internet browser, has argued that more must be done to keep Donald Trump and other “bad actors” out of cyberspace, prompting many to vow to never use the group’s services again.
In a blog post titled ‘We need more than deplatforming’, the open-source software community said that Twitter’s decision to permanently ban Trump from its platform didn’t go far enough in weeding out “hate” on the internet. While blaming Trump for the “siege and take-over” of the US Capitol on January 6, the non-profit tech group argued that “white supremacy is about more than any one personality.”
“We need solutions that don’t start after untold damage has been done.Changing these dangerous dynamics requires more than just the temporary silencing or permanent removal of bad actors from social media platforms,” Mozilla wrote.

This man agrees completely.
The dark web. Anonymity, yes; ease of use, not really. I’m not aware of a good and concise summary on the subject, but I’m sure there’s one out there somewhere.

I use Opera. It has an ad blocker and free VPN.
Most of today’s browsers are built upon Chrome.
Mozilla is little more than an online specification
Effing Marxists! They have no right to rule over what free Americans can and can not say!
.
So they want to become the Gestapo.
Yes very American
With pieces of work like this in the media system - does American need foreign enemeies ???
.
Brave is my web guy’s recommendation also. I’ve used it, it seemed fine. But it’s based on Chromium which is Google so don’t get your hopes up too high.
Same here, since Firefox v0.8. Hated IE. Never took a liking to Chrome and now Edge. Had issues with Brave and Vivaldi when I tried them a couple of years ago. Like Opera, but as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, sold in 2016 to a Chinese company.
Brave is very good. Very light on resources. Has a Tor browser, which will become important very soon.
Has Brave improved much in the past couple of years? There were some issues back then that bothered me. I also didn't like I couldn't tailor the browser much to my preferences. I guess I've been a fan of the addons for Firefox, although they crippled several good ones when they changed their browser around v54.
That’s “Strike One” Mozilla ...
SO, you wanna go further and commit suicide like Twitter and Facebook already have ??
Keep going and find out.
.
Firefox is one of the few *not* built on top of Chrome, which is why some have a hard time moving away from it.
And now we have Pinterest getting into the act. https://www.revolver.news/ Link to banning platforms
1. Try Brave. It really is a good, fast, secure browser.
2. Check out this video on how to migrate bookmarks and settings into Brave: t.ly/agwr
Good luck!
Chrome is prolly your best bet. It’s open source and developed by people of all stripes. And it will have the latest security patches.
Save Safari and Firefox, you won’t find a modern browser that’s not built on chrome.
Imagine that. Downloading a browser that censors web sites for you.

Does it support WebGL?
Agreed. Mentioned @ #57
Well, Chromium is open-source software, so it isn't specifically Google.
