Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell plans to never speak to President Donald Trump again.
The Washington Post reported this detail in a story describing how the president has alienated his allies in Washington with the way he handled Wednesday's riot on Capitol Hill.
McConnell, the Senate's top Republican who will become minority leader once new Democratic Sens. Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock are sworn in, had been 'estranged' from Trump in recent weeks, The Post wrote.

Mitchie McConnell was a MAJOR contributor to the loss of the senate seats in Georgia, because he blocked the $2000 payout. I think the FIX was in, just like the General Election, but neither Perdue, nor Loeffler were able to take much credit for helping those impacted by the virus, and believe me, the dems waged class warfare against both of them for being wealthy and “turning their backs on those impacted”.
I wonder what “treatments” these old deep staters recieve?

I think it’s a COMPLIMENT to Trump that McConnell won’t speak to him. Trump did nothing wrong, whereas McConnell was involved in some very dirty under the table garbage with the Dems and delayed the $2K as much as Nancy. McConnell can drop dead as far as I’m concerned.
Sadly true. It's the same with him as it is with Pelosi: he'll get voted back to leader even if it's minority leader because he punishes people who go against him and that means there aren't enough people willing to take the chance of going against him and losing.
He should have been kicked out of leadership when he blew the 2018 midterms and let three or four additional seats get snatched away in Montana, West Virginia, and Arizona, something that is really glaring now. But no, they'll dutifully vote to make him minority leader and that slug Cornyn his number two and the crap will continue unabated.

McConnell is popular in the GOP Senate because he is weak. He allows them to do whatever they want. He’s a natural born minority leader. Now because of his weakness all of his buddies have lost their plum committee chair seats.
