‘Cause he was kissing Margaret’s “Hot Lips”... ;-)
Bluebonnet....
A fine actor...
A fine man...
Happy Birthday Robert...
The Great Santini / The Ace - Such a good movie, but disturbing.
Also loved Tender Mercies.
“Diane Keaton turns 75 today”
She had one of my favorite movie lines. In Baby Boom. “I used to be CUTE!”
The Apostle (1997) is a good movie.
[on the reason he did not appear in The Godfather: Part III (1990)] If they paid Pacino twice what they paid me, that's fine, but not three or four times, which is what they did. (Francis Ford Coppola) came to my farm, parked his car... went in the kitchen. (I) said: "I know you always wanted the crab cake recipe, let me cook it for you." Oh, he loves to eat, so I cooked the crab cake... and he wrote it down... and he forgot it, so he called twice. He was... more concerned that he forgot the crab cake recipe than would I be in Godfather III. [January 8, 2004]
One guy asked me, "How can you be an actor and be a Republican?". I can vote either way. But how can you boil it down to political affiliation? All the atrocities against blacks in the South were committed by Democratic sheriffs.
Sheer good luck :)
Yep. One of Lucas’ earliest, and I think his best, film
I agree it’s his best. What’s funny is that he gave it a digital makeover with CGI effects similar to what he did with the Star Wars movies. As far as I know, only the CGI version is available nowadays. The original was only released for home viewing on VHS way back when. One of these days I’d like to get hold of one of those tapes and check out the original. I’m guessing the CGI improvements were not really improvements.
Michael Caine and Robert Duvall were cut from the same mold. Two working actors who brought their best to every role they played.
He was shot out of his saddle by Glen Campbell.

He is a kind and humble man. My wife and I met him more than once.
Fish sleeps with the fishes.
Ah, Augustus McRae...no part ever suited an actor more than that part did him.
Hard to believe—he doesn’t look it or act it. He lives near me. He came into a store in our town and he was funny as the dickens. I didn’t recognize him but I sensed he was not just Joe Average. He’s well-liked locally for some of his public activities.
The Apostle is my favorite Robert Duval movie.
