Serious question: Best place in America for conservatives to rebuild?

Posted on 01/05/2021 6:18:46 AM PST by Taffylucy

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not a 'cut and run' type.

I have always been a fighter--but we must be strategic in our warrior ways, especially when we've allowed our adversaries, that want to erase us and re-engineer us--or even disappear us!--to have gained such a strong foothold within our states, our towns, our schools, our homes--and worst--in our children's minds ( aka, the FUTURE).

It was Lenin that said I believe, something to the effect of, "You get the youth, you get the future". Hitler applied this totally as the Hitler Youth were so brainwashed they marched like single-threaded pod people ALL FOR THE STATE and their own demise.

So I'm also a pragmatic person.

Thoughts on best regions, states, areas, etc in US under current trends (next 5-8 years)? Where conservatives can expect baseline civil rights and opportunity, adequate safety, basically a reasonable 'life' where we coalesce and restrengthen?

Sorry for the gloomy tone, maybe today and tomorrow, with presentation of specific fraud on the floor of congress (FRAUD THAT FULLY 50% OF AMERICANS HAVE NEVER EVEN SEEN--HAVING BEEN TOLD BY CRIMINAL MASS MEDIA, RELENTLESSLY, MONOTONOUSLY, THAT ALL CLAIMS OF FRAUD ARE 'BASELESS'.) will give a glimmer of positivity --in the meantime--resilience requires thinking across multiple scenarios.

Thanks.

How about West Virginia? Plenty of land and people who are used to taking care of themselves (in all sorts of ways).

"We should be able to overwhelm Canada quite easily."

Yes, but the problem is how do we get past the border guards and prevent deportation?

We could also overwhelm Mexico. If enough Gringos invaded, they could eliminate the power of the drug cartels, establish good government, and preserve the freedoms still extant in Mexico but becoming rapidly extinguished in Gringolandia. The last time I was in Mexico (some years ago), I was struck by how much it resembled the USA back in the 1940s and '50s.

Here are some links to help gather info in your search. Don't let the folks calling you a "cut & run" coward bother you. You do what is best for YOUR family. Screw the Karens here...

https://www.politico.com/2020-election/results/west-virginia/ - Yes, it's Politico, but it gives you a good rundown on how states, and their individual counties, went during the 2020 election. As I mentioned, WV went completely red for Trump. Scroll to the lower part of the page for different states.

https://taxfoundation.org/real-value-100-state-2019/ - For the value of $100 in any given state.

https://nationalgunrights.org/about-us/key-issues/constitutional-carry/current-states-which-agree-constitutional-carry-is-the-law-of-the-land/ - Constitutional Carry states. State support of the 2A is important to me.

https://sanctuarycounties.com/?amp - States and counties that have passed 2A Sanctuary Resolutions in some form or fashion. These aren't laws...just resolutions, but it does indicate the county's leanings on the 2A. A few counties HAVE passed laws.

You may also want to research the Sheriff in your future chosen county. There are actually some Sheriffs that have declared themselves "Constitutional Sheriffs".

We have lost the schools from K through postgraduate and now we have lost the election. Soon we will lose your second amendment.

I’ve seen some of their videos. Interesting and she’s very cute.

I don’t expect to ever do Solar. My guitar player in my old band did solar installations as his main job and actually lived much like this family does, building everything themself and really living off the land. He has 40 panels on that house. Even he admits that the only upside to solar is that you have power if we end up with SHTF and you have power if the power goes out - which never happens where I live.

If we end up with a “true” SHTF scenario, I don’t expect most of us to survive, no matter where we live. To me, preparing for that is like preparing for a large meteor to hit your house. It’s pointless. It’s better to just trust the Lord and hope it doesn’t happen. ;)

Make Mexico Great Again :-)

We used to visit Old Mexico, often, in the 70s.

It was safe, clean, fun to go for a day of shopping and lunch or dinner.

“The Jerk runs deep in this one”

Come on man! It humors me. You don’t think he/she/it is funny? Besides with HG assuming the role as resident grammar Nazi I’ve actually learned a number of things.

But what Gunner the grammarian does not tolerate is people who write in the vernacular... like me. I grew up admiring the works of Twain and Zora Hurston, a dash of Steinbeck and some Hemingway... so my grammar (and argument) is terrible but, those writers made a fine living at writing terribly.

I’m looking for a conservative state to retire to. The Dakotas look good, but I’m not sure about the winters. I’m in northern Indiana now, considering southern Indiana.

“How about West Virginia?”

Eastern side of state is being overrun with N.VA far left liberals since they put in a metro train straight to DC.

Gotta be careful in really rural parts. Nothing but poor meth heads who will rob you blind once you leave your house.

It's astonishing that millions of Americans are wilfully blind to the beautiful realities you describe in North Dakota, blessings that were taken for granted everywhere in the USA only decades ago.

And they think there's some kind of virtue in the decay and degeneracy that they accept! even promote!

Decadence is a sickness. Millions of Americans are culturally sick. They cannot see the evil right before their eyes, the evil that has infected their nation and permeated themselves. Even to accept such evil as normal is profoundly sick, profoundly immoral, and profoundly evil itself; yet millions are blind to it all.

I used to wonder how Orwell's 1984 could possibly get established. I could not imagine how Stalinism, naziism, or any kind of totalitarianism could ever become established in America. The possibility that the evils described by Robert Graves in I, Claudius seemed like a horror story as improbable as Bram Stoker's Dracula.

What, I wondered, could ever induce Americans to throw away their precious freedoms and heritage and the beautiful blessings that you describe, and accept instead the unspeakable horrors I just described?

I now understand perfectly.

I wish I didn't.

The Mexicans I met in Mexico were courteous, friendly, delightful, like the US South once was.

The Mexicans I knew in New Mexico were family oriented, trustworthy, and conservative. "If the government can tell me what to do with my property," one Mexican man said to me, "then I don't own my property!" In business, they were honest, dependable, and easy to work with.

I know the other kinds exist, but I never encountered any of them.

Which state? VA or WV? Or neither?

I love SC, especially the low country. My wife and I have a second home in Hilton Head. As current citizens of The Peoples Republic of Illinois, we’re looking at making it our permanent residence. I love the history, great golf courses and the beaches, but my wife is no big fan of the heat and humidity.
