The first congressperson that Pence recognized to speak asked (I'm paraphrasing here) how this could work with so many members relegated to the gallery which would not allow them to speak. Pence basically let him speak and then moved on without addressing the congressman question.

It sure makes the Pence stories from October 2016 more believable. And the stories about him supporting use of the 25th Amendment. I always thought it possible, but reserved judgment. Acceding to a steal of the Presidency of the United States out of “decorum” exposes him as someone willing to accept treason and the death of liberty.
How f’ng hard is it to say, “I have received two slates of electors from Arizona. One was sent by the Secretary of State, and purports to be lawful. The other is supported by members of the majority of the state legislature of Arizona, and those members claim that their Secretary of State has acted unlawfully and unconstitutionally to certify a slate of electors fraudulently. I do not have sufficient information to declare which side is the correct one. The Constitution defers to the state legislature, not state governor or secretary of state, the manner of choosing electors for Presidential elections. I am therefore returning both sets of electors to the leaders of both legislative houses in Arizona, and requesting that they determine which slate of electors represents the will of Arizona’s voters, and return their decision to me no later than January 15.”
