The BBC have refused to comment on speculation that Jodie Whittaker has quit her role as the 13th Time Lord on Doctor Who.
It was reported on Sunday by The Mirror that Jodie had turned in her notice for the long-running sci-fi/adventure series after three years on the show
A BBC spokesman told Digital Spy: 'We won't be commenting on any speculation around Jodie's future on the show.'

Pluto TV has a classic Dr. Who channel.
I did watch the opener for Nurse Who and apart from some subtle Trump bashing, it was actually watchable. Not great. Maybe C+.
Thanks.
She is called Dr. Karen
And yes, Go Woke, go broke. They destroyed the series yet again...
Did you see the teaser of the Dr’s new companion..
Looked like a B grade male Porn star from the 70s
Only thing that did not happen when he smiled was his tooth did not sparkle.
I prefer Jon Pertwee, but Tom grows on me the older I get.
Tom Baker is my favorite then Matt Smith then David Tennant. I didn’t like Matt Smith much at the beginning of his run but he won me over. I really wish Christopher Eccleston would have gotten more than one season. I thought he was great, too.
Jodie Whittaker wasn’t the problem; I thought she did a great job and underplayed the woke card. The problem was that Doctor Who is certainly male, and changing him into a woman (ironically in any way that doesn’t make him come off as a mere tranny) doesn’t change that fact; it just gives us a different lead character who is NOT Doctor Who.
Ironically, the fact that the writers would tell us he is now female, instead of a man trapped in a woman’s body, contradicts the current government-mandated religion’s doctrines about gender and sexuality.
"My favorite episode with Smith and Gillian was “Vincent and the Doctor.”
Mine also. In fact, I can't help it...I weep every time I watch it. Definitely Dr Who at it's finest. Van Gogh's affection for another "ginger" in the form of Amy Pond is a sweet reference to the kind of man he really was. The final scene in the art museum is so heartwrenching. If only he (Van Gogh) had known he would be considered the finest and most recognizable painter ever to have lived by the generations who followed...
I dunno. I’d think more Troy McClure (Simpsons reference) than 70s porn star. Then again, I was only a kid during the 70s so I wouldn’t know.
It is ok, age is only a concern to those that watch a clock.
And as I am older than dirt, I remember Larry the Lounge Lizard.
Regards...
The BBC doesn’t learn.
They had a perfectly good sci/fi show with Torchwood but ruined it with the overt homosexuality. The Beebs is determined to jam their PC/Woke version of reality down the publics throat.
I remember Top Gears Jeremy Clarkson complaining about a three hour meeting, mandatory, about nothing but inclusiveness and social justice. He said he slept for2 1/2 hours.
Jodie was only half of the problem. Yes she wanted to base her Doctor on her radical feminist beliefs but showrunner Chris Chibnall is also a full blown SJW. His first act as showrunner was doing away with the Christmas Special.
“Don’t forget Alex Kingston, who played River Song.”
No one else could have played River Song, the Bad Girl Of The Universe, better than Kingston! She was fantastic!
And the plot twist of making her Amy and Rory’s daughter came out of left field. I loved it.
My top three is Tenant, Smith then Eccleston simply because Ecc only had one year on the show. Between his Doctor and Billie Piper they got me hooked.
Not sure, think he played first base.
Her mission is done. She wasn’t a fan of the program before she was cast.
Mission Accomplished
She Came, She Saw, It Died!
I’ve seen him play comedy as well as drama. I think he’s a great actor.
A few years back he did a BBC legal drama called “The Escape Artist”. Very well done.
Doctor who has been in decline for a long long time, and the reason has been simple.... poor writing and uninspiring stories. The move to make the Doctor a woman, was just a cheap gimmic to try to increase ratings without actually addressing the underlying problem.
They got loads of press from it, and all the radical carpet munchers cheered on social media, and so did all the other female activists... But, they were almost all folks who had never really watched the show... So they brought her in, and then made their story lines all woke garbage, and made the companions (making sure we had a lot of “representation” there) 2 dimensional (and that’s being generous) caricatures.
SO they got a big bump for that season, and as they got folks to check it out after all the press... but those women that all cheered this idiotic decision, realized once again, they don’t like or watch science fiction... If they tuned in at all... and ratings went right back into the downward spiral they have been for a long long time.
I don’t blame the actress or the actors, they did what they were asked to do.. the problem is what they were asked to do was absolute crap.
The cheap pander, did exactly what it always does... Gets a quick pop, at the expense of your long time fan base, and does NOTHING to fix the true underlying problem. Which has been unbelievable poor writing, and some of the worst companions ever. Anyone who understands Dr Who’s dynamic knows the Companion is the gateway between the doctor and the viewer... and frankly the last decent companion was Clara. They clearly have just been trying to check off the right PC boxes since... Billy Potts character was utterly un-relatable... and the current 3 as I mentioned before are about as two dimensional caricature as you can get.
Making the doctor female was just a cheap ploy, then add to it making the writing beyond woke garbage on top of it, just smacked of stupidity.
Look, here’s a idea... Lose the preaching, and start ENTERTAINING... Respect the cannon and the fans who brought you this far. Just a damn thought.
For the record again, I have nothing against Jodie Whittaker, or any of the other actors currently on the show.... they are doing they job they are asked to do... unfortunately the job they are being asked to do, is absolute slop.
The obsessive wokeness and diversity of Doctor Who has been a growing problem, but there is another that’s more serious, but hard to pin down. Watch samples from the past decade, and you’ll notice the Beeb has been moving away from BBC “proper” accents for characters to make them more regional and working class. The problem is, for US viewers, it’s gotten to the point where they need subtitles to be understood.
