I don’t mind doing the drudgery of cooking everyday laundry, cleaning, because hubby would do the same thing, plus go outside in freezing cold weather to fix something. Or in the heat.

I was surprised that the furnace wasn’t working as it has been a couple of months since it last quit.
It isn’t even 3 years old but the repairman said that the electronic boards they put in them are cheap.

17, yikes! I’m sorry your furnace is misbehaving, at only 3 and probably expensive, that’s disappointing. And you need it!
That’s what worries me about the new house. It doesn’t have a wood stove or fireplace. We have needed are back up here. Although it’s closer to town so maybe the electricity isn’t so flakey. Doesn’t matter though I still like backup real wood Heat.
