Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for 37 years -- and the Hollywood couple have zero plans to tie the knot.
The duo first began dating while filming 1984’s “Swing Shift” and have since built a life together without the need to get married.
“You’ve just got to want to be together,” the actress told People magazine in this week’s cover story.
“I don’t think there’s any other way to do it,” added the 75-year-old.
Despite their union, the pair have been selective when it comes to working together, the outlet shared. They appeared together in 1987’s “Overboard” before Hawn made a cameo appearance in Russell’s 2018 Netflix film “The Christmas Chronicles.”

I had no idea that Kurt was younger than Goldie... He is 69 years old.
I have never been married...My parents divorced after a few years...I still think that marriage is a good idea...
I do like many of Kurt's movies...EXECUTIVE DECISION was a good one...Dealing with Islamic terrorists...
BREAKDOWN was a good movie also...
Kurt played a cop in TEQUILA SUNRISE and DARK BLUE...
Shot the bull with them once at a private airport in Colorado. Super cool and friendly folks.
My sweetie & I have been together for 23 years now, not married. He’d been married 4 times before. I’ve never been married. Things have worked out...so far.
Hey that’s awesome.
Some will get down on them here about the not getting married thing.
But what they’ve managed to pull off (staying together) in Hollywood is quite extraordinary.
I’m sure both were in high demand back then on the dating circuit.
Good for them
Under a very old tradition, that I was raised under, if two have sex, they are “One in the Flesh” permanently. Under that tradition, the marriage was not defined by an Oath, License, or Ceremony, but had occurred when two had sex, the rest was just window dressing.
If they are permanently faithful to each other, I have no problem with this.
Bro, you just blew my mind.
I’ve been on again, off again with a woman for 23 years.
Unlike you, I’ve gone and wasted a lot of time searching for “the right one”.
I’m 52. Time to face some realities.
I am glad for you and I’m sure it will continue to go great.
We’ve had our issues, but we still are best friends. That’s the important part.
Soldier is also a good one if you have not seen it. The “Escape From...” as well.
That is really amazing (and I had no idea he was that much younger either).
Honestly, in the event I were ever to be a position to look again (currently 25+ years happily married), I do not know that I would look to get married. Times have changed and frankly, too much financial and legal risk.
Everyone I know whose relationships have worked says the same thing.
And EVERYONE has issues.
I’ve been shocked more times than I can count when I found out “the perfect couple” wasn’t so perfect or even close.
What goes on behind closed doors is Incredible sometimes!
Directed/Written by: Robert Zemeckis & Bob Gale (both involved in the "Back to the Future" films
"That's just too f'n high!"
And for all of you “marriage is a sacrament” under smells and bells crowd, only 26 percent of marriages take place in a church.
A go go bar owner once mentioned Goldie had worked for him at another bar in NJ. I’ve always like her.
Married 30 yrs. If something happened to my spouse, I would never marry again. Agree too much financial risk. Divorce too complicated. Better to walk away.
Russel was good in Tombstone.
I have to wonder with all their money if it wasn’t part of the consideration not to marry, divorce at that level is pricey. Lawyers sniff out big money like pigs sniffing for truffles.
IF IT AIN’T BROKE——DON’T FIX IT.
It works for them.
My next door neighbor in So Calif was a house painter. He was from Denmark. He painted at least 2 houses for Goldie.
He LOVED her-—said she couldn’t have been sweeter to work for.
He was a mountain of a man, and we lost him to pancreatic cancer. He went from 260# to about 110# in less than 6 weeks.
How about a wife who doesn’t really enjoy sex but loves being a mom? She’s happy with 4 kids while he steps out from time to time and comes home to a cooked meal with the ones he loves. I’ve seen it work.
No need to let Christian type common sense and morals interfere with their luxury lives. They wouldn’t be in the Hollyweird Elite if they did something as stupid as getting married. Actually, !) who asked them?, and 2) why did we need to know?
The whole "you have to have a reception" thing and all the baloney and drama that goes along with it is unnecessary.
The blessings in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony are all you need and should not be neglected nor be deemed as not needed.
I loved Swing Shift, it was that movie that introduced me to Jo Stafford’s version of I’ll be seeing you. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nvq4OnhMEO4. Although I still love Liberace’s version best.
Curt and Russel are good in pretty much all their movies, individually or together. Wish they’d do another one together.
Why does she disagree?
