Merry Christmas from Spain. It may be a Socialist country but at least they still allow religious symbols on town land. This is our town hall decked out for Christmas.

Merry Christmas. Love Spain. Last 3 years I’ve been spending time in Valencia. Can’t wait to visit again.

Even when they don't have Christmas they have a large cross that can be seen miles out to sea and is lit up at night. It was put there to commemorate the end of Muslim rule in 1489 and was built on the spot where they both landed in Spain 750 years earlier and sailed away. We can see it from our terrace.

What part of Spain are you living in?We live in Southern Spain about 600 meters from the Mediterranean. We moved here in early 2016 when I retired early and we wanted to be closer to my wife's family in England but didn't want the gloomy weather. It won't be a white Christmas, more likely shorts and short sleeves. This is what we're forced to wake up to every morning

I’ll bet that is the evil seagull who stole my wife’s hamburger.

Merry Christmas brother! If I ever went to Spain I would want to walk the camino and also visit some of the Carmelite monasteries.

Merry Christmas brother! If I ever went to Spain I would want to walk the camino and also visit some of the Carmelite monasteries.I walked from Sarria to Santiago, the most popular walk, in 6 days because I wanted to take my time and see the sights along the way. I was planning on walking the Portugese route but the pandemic and my wife's illness blew that idea out of the water. If you're ever in the area feel free to stop in.
