(Posted in CHAT) I honestly don't know. What happens if SCOTUS takes the case and what happens if they don't?

I don't have a clue about all the legal stuff going on and I certainly don't understand the latin terms being used.

My question(s) are: 1) What will the SCOTUS decision be if they hear the case and 2) What happens if they don't?

In my opinion, this election has been stolen through blatant, in your face, slap your mama fraud with the guilty parties not caring they were caught since big media (the networks) and big tech (facebook, etc.) are denying and deleting any dissent.

I grew up in the 50's. This makes me fear for the future of my grandkids..

Your analysis is good. Do you happen to have a link to Thomas actually saying this?

We become North Mexico on our way to becoming North Venezuela.

Actually, we go directly to being Bidenzuela.

I agree with you on the most likely scenario. The SCT is not being asked to pick the winner, but to rule on an important Constitutional issue. With 5 votes on the originalist side, my guess is that Texas has a better than 50% likelihood of prevailing.

*BUT*

If that happens, the state GOP majorities in those states would have to STAY UNIFIED in order to pick Trump electors.

They would have very little margin for defections. (Remember RINOS?)

So in the end, I am not optimistic.

After listening to Jay Sekulow’s radio program today, I can tell you that there’s not an easy path to overturning the election in favor of the President.

He said the Supreme Court had multiple options, one of which would be to dismiss the Texas case outright, request more briefings on the issues involved, send it back to the legislatures, which he believes is the most likely outcome.

And depending on what the individual state legislatures decide about their electors, they could retain their original election results or choose other electors.

Jay said that overturning the election is possible, but it’s an “uphill climb.” His words.

He also recommended prayer when someone called and asked what they could do. And that appeal is to the highest court of all.

“...What would Jesus do?...”

With the blood of 60+ million innocents that have been offered as sacrifice to the demonic abortion god, Molech, screaming from our ground, I shudder to think what that His answer would be.

I thought SCOTUS already “took the case”, just hasn’t ruled on it yet. They gave the four defendant states until yesterday at noon to file file their responses to the suit. If they didn’t “take the case”, why would they do that?

“My prediction is that they won’t due to the turmoil it will ultimately create......Let the attacks begin......”

I can’t really disagree with you. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised, though.

“I think the most likely is sort-of a punt, but not really: Rule that the electors are invalid, and the legislatures must pick new ones.”

But that would not really be a punt, because such as ruling is exactly why the Texas case was filed.

Sekulow was bullish the previous day and the day before that...I think he was just trying to temper expectations today. It IS an uphill climb, however, a fantastic case has been made on our side and the answers from the defendant states were hot garbage. The PA one in particular read like they grabbed some gender studies major off Reddit to write it. The response from TX today ripped their arguments to shreds and it was a very convincing rebuttal.

We should have a majority that agrees with it. Gorsuch has touched on the idea of doing what’s legally right without taking into account other factors. Thomas and Alito are almost sure to agree with this argument. Kavanaugh is likely on board, but we have less data. I’m betting that Barrett is on our side as well. If that was the deciding majority, I predict Roberts joins the winning side no matter what it is.

The biggest problem is in the relief. We want them to throw out the electors, but they may say that the legislatures can appoint an alternate slate on their own without SCOTUS intervention. If they do that, will the worthless RINOS actually do that? I wouldn’t bet on it.

It seems they will be forced to notice all of the procedural shenanigans that these states pulled.

That would lead them to punt back to the states’ legislatures to decide what they want to do.

Get used to disappointment.

“They won’t” meaning, you don’t think the SCOTUS will bother to take the case? Unfortunately, I have to agree.
My president has very few friends in politics right now, eve fewer in Black Robes. It all seems quite deliberate and organized and (so far) bloodless. So many willing to embrace the lies because end justifies any means in their minds.
I hope the idea of Secession gets a serious and closer look.
That will be about the only way my America will continue.

They are in a definitely unenviable position, and they just have to do what’s right (ruling solely on constitutional grounds) and step back. Whatever happens is not their fault, but the fault of the forces that have built up this crisis.

Absolutely correct.

Then no one gets 270 EVs and it goes to the House, for a vote of State delegations, as I understand it
