I am expecting no oral arguments and that SCOTUS will rule on both the injunction and merits by the end of Tuesday based on the written arguments alone.
meaning...what? how do you think they rule?
Why?
I think we have a better than 50/50 of relief from the USSC. A ruling in favor of Trump would then allow cover for the State Legistalure...no electors being sent and PA 20 ECs will not be a factor, just run the clock out. Wolf may try some legal wrangling but it will ultimately fail. That being said we may have threaded one needle and need 2 more, Arizona looks the next decent one, then Georgia. Not so hopeful about Michigan and Wisc(which have been eerily quiet). I expect the MSM to get hysterical and star with the "Biden when he takes office needs to pack the court, they are out of control".
For us layman out here in flyover country, expound upon your reasoning for this statement, legally and otherwise.
The biggest help for the country from the SC would be for it to limit the use of “standing” and “laches” by courts to keep election charges out of the courts.
Don’t think they have to in the Pa case, but they can (IIRC).
I agree. They have likely already met in chambers and are drafting opinions as we speak. They already know how they will rule.
