So. I don’t know whether to 𤣠or đŹ.
I woke up in the middle of the night, and while busy I did my normal habit of checking Pinterest on my phone.
At the very top of my feed was a suggested pin of ‘5 things you need to know about grocery stores in Iceland’.
While I do have lots of pins for road trips/rv travel, Iceland is a place I’ve never wanted to go and have no pins for.
But yesterday I did Google ‘islands for sale’.
Isn’t it funny, we were having the same conversation here ... where to move? It makes me wonder how many people across the country are doing the same. As a nation, we are in an interesting place right now, aren’t we?
This is still the best country.....just pick a very red state and go for it.
I basically did that having moved 32 times in my life! But without the Houseboat! You learn very quickly to hold onto âthingsâ loosely. ...each time I traveled with less furniture and 'stuff'.
The lesson of a lemon drop
In college I was fortunate to have a Hungarian refuge professor in a âhistoryâ class. One day we came in to find a lemon drop placed on each desks. The lesson that day was about the utopian dreams of socialism, communism and other societies where ideally people shared the work as they were able and the communal profits.
As he was lecturing he would occasionally pop another lemon drop in his mouth and continue the lecture on another specific attempt for that perfect âislandâ.
At the end of class he told us all we could eat our lemon drop. But of course there were some missing. He had himself consumed them. Those left out made quite a commotion he quietly said âan that is why no socialist utopian societies do NOT work.
Have a good day. I chose to stay with our republic no matter how flawed it is. Like my ancestors I will take a stand and fight for HER! One nation Under God for me!
It's all set up and we could get it cheap!
Nobody else wants it. Fumigate it and be all set!
I could see living in a movable house! I do not relocate easily ... we have been in this house for 23 years and in this state for 46. Boy, does time fly.

Sorry you have all given up the fight. As for me and my house we havenât.
I’ve been here 16 yrs now and can hardly believe it! Finally settled in mu home state after all.
A real cute small apartment with lots of neat nooks and cranies. Located perfectly. Even has a walk in closet and two entrances and deck. I love it here....only downside is just a shower. So I bought a portable bathtub when the mood strikes.
Where there’s a will there’s a way!
Family would like I move closer to them, but 45 minutes away is just right. That might change later but for now I’m content right here.
I can’t imagine 46 yrs in one state but I might end up as that LOL. Retired now I prefer not picking up and moving about again.
Well Jane, I guess we better cancel those plane tickets to our dream autonomous island nation. Which any sane person knows is not possible to achieve.
Stop being a prick, hoosiermama.
Prick = patriot. Whoâs being the prick. Whoâs willing to sell out and leave our beloved country. NOT me! You need to think about what you are posting for all to see on FREEREPUBLIC.
I’ll take the bacon and peaches off that stack, the rest otherwise.
Thank you looks delicious as always.
Good morning.
Good morning, ma. You are welcome. How’s the house?
I remember mom saying..."Let's have breakfast for supper." She didn't have to twist my arm.
LOL
