Last night I managed to drag my self upstairs and we did Johnny Cash on the karaoke it was grand, and made me happy. this AM I am thinking of what My desert island discs are, what are those things you would want to have if you were stranded on a desert island? (with MaryAnn and Ginger?) and Who's that up there with Bill Stokes? And where the hell is Zappa?

I set up a stage for Tom, not sure I would want to spend eternity with him LOL even with eggs and coffee...

My Thanksgiving sucked, but was par for the 2020 course. My mom got exposed to COVID last week and was informed on Wednesday, tested that day, and then told she would be locked down until her test results were back. (Obviously they did not give her the 1-hour test.) She lives in an assisted living facility, so she is basically a prisoner and mad as a hornet. No symptoms at all. We had planned to have Thanksgiving with friends. I had lunch with her on Tuesday, so if she was exposed, I was also. (No symptoms.) But no one wanted me at their table yesterday. So I grilled myself an amazing filet mignon and cursed the world.

So I am basically on a desert island right now and my albums include The Pixies “Surfer Rosa,” Superchunk “No Pocky for Kitty,” Tom Waits “Frank’s Wild Years,” and Chet Baker “Let’s Get Lost.”
