We take for granted here in the USA, that writers and news people are safe. They are not safe to this element we are in battle with.
I’ve known a couple of writers who were threatened here.
Remember the Sipsey Street Irregulars? They are no longer active. Their work is still on the web but nothing new from them. One of them died of cancer, the other was threatened by an alphabet agency member. It spooked him, with cause. Once in a while I had exchanges with the one remaining, but he is silent on the web.
Another was an excellent writer who grew up in Turkey and immigrated to the US. She suddenly disappeared from Twitter and her tweets were locked. I’m confident she or her family was threatened. She writes for many magazines now, but last I heard she was in Israel. I suspect she will stay there.

But I do find it notable, for whatever it means, that Joe Di says Trump’s legal team has no knowledge of the raid in Germany—and also that Gohmert said only that he’d seen a tweet about it in Germany.
Before the Joe Di. interview Lin Wood, who is not part of Trump’s team, said he had heard stories of the raid, but didn’t know whether it would have been the good guys or bad who had got the servers. (The CIA, FBI, etc., regularly make raids to seize and bury evidence.)
