OK, a vanity post here - With Fox having completely gone to the dark side, and not wanting to spend any money to support any of the mainstream media any more, I'm looking for a streaming service that can replace my cable.
I'm looking to have local channels (which I can do with an antenna if necessary), some sports, alternative news, older movies, older shows, maybe some history.
> in order to provide other that users [DON’T] want.
> Sling
Is there a way to record off of Sling?
Those two channels are located right beside ‘rivers’, ‘lakes’, and ‘wooded mountains’. The loneliness the outdoors nature offers is very peaceful and relaxing.
I think satellite high speed internet is becoming cost competitive with cable internet in many places.
I was going to go with ‘books’ as my idea but your’s is better.

Buy an antenna. You will get 70 channels alone. Then buy a Roku. Install Newsmax and Pluto for free content that includes, A&E, History, and other channels . If you have Amazon Prime, you can watch free content there too. Dumped Direct TV 4 years ago. Only thing I miss is dvr capabilities, but you can also get around that with a Sling OTA dvr box to record OTA channels
I can download over 500 mb/s on WiFi, and almost 1000 through an internet cable to my router. It’s really fast!
Weve had Hulu for two years using Roku Ultra.
Very satisfied.
Don’t be ridiculous. Everyone knows that the “outdoors and sunshine” are a myth designed to separate you from the only source of truth in this harsh world, the MSM.
And their existence is only legend.
Speaking of outdoors and sunshine, it’s a beautiful day here in Tennessee. And I just took a nice little walk in the neighborhood.
Indeed, TV doesn’t replace the outdoors, but it does provide entertainment and (wishful thinking) a source of news and information.

We do HULU for sports (for hubby), history channel, smithsonian and movies (for my FIL). KLOWD with OAN for news.
I have spectrum on roku.
Spectrum has, or at least had, a deal where you get all your local channels plus 20 channels you pick yourself for 20 bucks a month.
I have that deal and have had it for over a year now, and I don’t have Fox News, or any of the cable news channels.
Apple or Roku
Buy internet cable....50/month
I did and we went down from 250-400 a month
Ping for later.
Type putlocker into your search box. Also install Adblock Plus, it kills those pesky commercials for free.
I just whipped out the old antenna and connected it to my flatscreen. There are some 40 local channels available on the air - some have a bit of a weak picture quality, but many are good HD signals.
What surprised me is how many of them are on my service, that I did not know were local. This helps a lot.
I think local plus something to give me my sports (Sling orange, or orange + blue) and/or maybe something for news.
For the record, the TV portion of my cable/internet bill is $119 a month. Not worth the price, even though the picture quality is top notch.
for later
Thank you!!
